PVZ GW2: Game keeps freezing for a second or two intermittently

For some reason after a few minutes of playing the screen keeps freezing for a second during gameplay. I've tried so many methods of fixing it like limiting my FPS, clean booting, having fewer background apps open, having borderless with vsync off but it always comes back and I have no idea how to stop it from happening. This happens with no other games I play and I can't find anyone else with this issue.
