PvZ1 reset after game crash

My PvZ1 reset itself. I am on ios, and I was very far into the game, right at the end of adventure mode. The game crashes a lot so, I figured this time it wouldn’t be a big deal. I re-opened the game and I was right back to square one. Everything was gone. I don’t know if there is any way to recover the lost data, but if there is a way I would really like to know. I was devastated when the game started playing the tutorial.

    With Pvz1 I am afraid when progress is lost, there is not a way to retrieve that due to the age of the game. If you are on iOS and you were linked to GameCenter at any point or logged in with the Apple ID, the moment you reinstall the game it should just log you into that profile automatically, and under change profile, you should see the game.

    However, if you try this and there is nothing there. and that data was deleted, sadly you would have to start over.

    I am having the same issue, my kid said his game crashed and when try to run it again, he says he  has lost all his hard earned progress and is devastated.  From what i researched it appears he is not alone in this. Can someone from EA please take responsibility and provide some answers? Thanks much.
