Quickdraw Con Man 1/4 --> 1/3
( I added the link to my favorite list for all these posts 😃 )
About AstroShroom, is a great card, give him an oportunity, you have no idea how good it is.
Love astro shroom. It's a well balanced card that is easily killed but can have a useful and nasty effect when combined with various mushrooms. Until recently I was using a Nightshade shroom deck that took me to Ultimate, and relied on swarms of early shrooms to deal damage.
If Conman were even one health less or one point more it would be a fair card, difficult but not unbalanced. As it stands I deal with it. It is tough, especially when boosted or buffed but its okay. Does not itself break the game.
I like most of the new cards I just think they are overly efficient and it makes me worry about power creep in the game, where entry level is too difficult. Most collectible games have a chase card or figure that is too efficient or synergizes well with an impossible to beat deck. Then to retain interest each side ends up in an inflationary war where each new set has even tougher opponents than the one before. Eventually entry level players find it impossible to transition from middling level play to top competition. And the winners are usually those who spent the most. Then when the developers ret-con figures to rebalance the field, those who spent money on it often quit. And often the game implodes and becomes a past fad.
Mage Knight. Mechwarrior. D&D miniatures. I miss you guys.
In this case the game is tight but close, Not terrible, just a bit tilted towards zombies right now. Only the Stompadon/Viral combo seem tricky to balance long term. There are easy tweaks that can be done to zomblob or other figures that leave them playable but still nasty.
