Rando Ops is back!

Clearly the best weekly game mode of all time! I know times are rough especially being in California where I'm engulfed in flames. But thankfully, the people at PopCap have decided to NOT do Suburbanation Isolation and instead done Rando Ops! This is where your character is randomized in the finished Ops mode! Of course, you could just repeatedly kill yourself until you randomly get your preferred character (fun fact: every map has a way of doing this). It's even better when you consider that your first builds of each character are set by default so if your first build isn't optimized for Ops, but oh well!

Even Peanut Butter Ninja thinks this is great)!

Maybe instead of Rando Ops being one of the Weekly Events In the Multiplayer Portal, it could be one of the permanent Portal game modes. Many players like it, I feel that this event should be made permanent. It’s a fun twist on Ops, and my favourite Weekly Event, so that change would be really cool.

@Fork_x_Spoon I actually love this mode; I have such a love for ops, and playing as random characters just adds a new level of fun and unexpectedness to gameplay! Also, Wildflower and TV Head are playable too! I didn't even realize until I randomly got TV Head yesterday! I gotta admit, I do prefer this mode over suburban isolation, but I have rather been missing the mixed mode games, so hopefully we see it again soon.

I would actually say Rando Ops is my favourite weekly event, you don’t even need to wait for other players to join, and it allows you to switch characters if you really want to during a match, also I am using Rando Ops to record footage for my upcoming Garden and Graveyard Ops guides.

@TheSprinter85 Ooh, fun! Hopefully you get some Wildflower and TV Head footage; I think people would be very interested in how they play in ops!

@PineapplePiano Unlikely, but could happen. I do not tend to use the map’s falls and pits in order to change my character. I prefer to stick to who I start of as, however I could get picked as one of those two characters, if I get lucky.

I just play what it gives me. But then I never have a main in any of these games and only care about who I play when working on that specific character for whatever reason (challenges mostly).

I enjoy rando, always have since GW2. To be honest, the event I want most is the team vanquish in the BA map. I had a blast with that. I wish BA had done better, I've only played it with bots in private matches and I love that you can't just play one character every time.

Can’t stand this mode. Every third game seems like there’s a rogue AI that’s slipped through the cracks.

@Iron_Guard8Ops in Funderdome... an idea. Certainly the bigger one with variants, that'd be interesting.
Also, I love how I was clearly being sarcastic yet everyone was actually being serious about liking this weekly game mode. It's actually not that bad, playing it. I got a chance to try out TV Head and it was interesting. They still need to make some bosses harder and make potted plants more powerful (Ops Phase 3), but this is still nice.

@Fork_x_Spoon I think people understood the sarcasm but wanted to say the like the mode anyway. I was actually going to say you are going to turn into Gormey 2.0 🙂. It is also weird that no-one has commented on the "engulfed in flames" part - I hope you are doing well !

@benn1nat0r I am indeed becoming Gormey 2.0 (just look at my PFP).

And yes, I am engulfed in flames. No worries though, because and the only thing I have to worry about is orange sky. The entire US has gone bad. At least there's R A N D O O P S.

(TBH, if I ranked all weekly game modes, this would be in high B tier. Shows how good this is and how bad the game modes are.)
