  • @kingcodered Not really. He has an insane range projectile, which has no dropoff, and it's extremely accurate. His burrow has now been matched to sprint speed, so unless you have a specific ability to avoid it, you can't just sprint away. Whilst his spikeweed may be useless, his new goop is insane. Obviously the buff was unecessary, but before, unless there were dedicated healers the nature of how the toxic effect works in BFN is ridiculous. It can basically spread to the whole zombie team, because of how teams in BFN are designed to be close-quarters.

I find that Chomper is a bit of a hit and miss character. There are specific things that he is suited for. He excels in close-range combat. He does lots of damage up close. He can vanquish a zombie in seconds, or immediately if he uses Burrow upon them. He is fine at long range, but not greatly effective. His Slobber Shot can deal a lot of damage, but fires significantly slowly. Most other plants’ DPS at range are higher, maybe even Snapdragon’s Flare Ball. His Spikeweeds and Grody Goop can also be fired at range, but can only be used occasionally and can be hard to use.

My point? Chomper is really effective when in close combat with Zombies, but his options are much more limited from range.
