Note to all: we are actively investigating this issue
@YewWOTmate Please confirm you are using the same account on all 3 PCs as we are checking it out
Yep same account

I'm having the same issue as the OP. My computer is running Windows 10 Pro x64 with 8 GB of RAM. My processor is an Intel Pentium G3258 oc'd to 4.6 GHz. (Issue happens regardless of processor being overclocked or not.) My graphics card is an nVidia GeForce GTX 750Ti.
DxDiag file attached.
Ran speedtest and got 93.59 Mbps down/12.12 Mbps up.

Thanks everyone, We will let you know if we need more info

Ok so what we have found so far is when people have this issue it is due to not having a quad core cpu. We are investigating the issue further, but in the meantime please ensure you have a PC with min spec or above
MINIMUM
OS: Windows 7 64-bit/ Windows 8.1 64-bit/ Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: 3.20 GHz Intel i5 650/ 2.5 GHz AMD Phenom X4 9850
RAM: At least 4GB for Windows 7/ Windows 8.1/ Windows 10
Hard Drive: 20 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640/ AMD Radeon HD 5750
DirectX: 11
Input: Keyboard and Mouse, Analogue Controller
Online Connection Requirements: 192 KBPS or faster internet connection
RECOMMENDED
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
CPU: Intel i5 6600 or equivalent
RAM: At least 16GB RAM
Hard Drive: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB / AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
Input: Keyboard and Mouse, Analogue Controller
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster internet connection I'm also facing the same issue here, so I'm thankful it's not just me.
Pray tell, does Popcap/EA intend to do patch this in the incredibly near future? Please say yes. Because for the most part, other than a few drops in frame rate every now and then, this game does run pretty good for me.
It'd be rather silly that despite being able to run this game quite well (my graphics card is a Nivida GTX 960), we can't open a simple shop to buy stickers for consumables/abilities/all that jazz.

Like I said, we are investigating it but most of the people with the problem dont have min spec and quad core cpu as I posted above. Ill update if I hear more 🙂
Sounds good! Sorry if I came off a bit strong there. I'm just really finding myself enjoying this game (I never did play the first one), so just wanna be able to enjoy the full experience. Again, my apologies -- especially since the game did just launch yesterday and the like, so things are always bound to be found here and there. 😳

The minimum spec asks for an i5 dualcore with 3.2 Ghz and 3.46 GHz Turbo Boost.
My Core2Duo runs at 4 Ghz stable and the only thing that the i5 650 has that my e8400 doesn't is the hyperthreading with 4 virtual threads.
So that's the only thing I could spot as a difference to the min spec PVZ GW2 needs.
Maybe that's the problem (the missing hyperthreading)?
Please fix this! Can't be that bad - after all it's just a sticker shop?!
- Anonymous10 years ago
An E8400 (my old processor!) is 2 cores, not 4.
Source: http://ark.intel.com/products/33910/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E8400-6M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB
i5 is quad core, and i7 is quad with + 4 more cores with hyperthreading.
Bottom line is sorry, you don't meet the requirements. ☹️
- Anonymous10 years agoThe i5 is not a real quad core. It has only 2 physical cores
Ha, looks like I'll be buying a new cpu this weekend then, doesn't sound like something that would be easy to "fix". But I do actually laugh at the thought of needing one core to buy stickers. That pack busting animation is pretty intense, I'll admit.

Older i5s? Sure.
Laptop/mobile i5s? Sure.
Current desktop i5s? Majority 4 cores.

- Anonymous10 years agoIf you are hugging the min specs so much you should refer to the exact specifications which name an i5 650 which in fact is a dual core

Still 4 threads, compared to e8400's 2.
Look, bottom line is e8400 isn't going to work 100% for GW2. It's like trying to walk properly with 1 leg.
- Anonymous10 years agoIt is working like a boss so far just that I can't spend my 600.000 coins which I gathered so far.
I was going to wait for Jenni to respond, but upon reading what others using have been saying, it does seem like I am out of luck. Since my processor is an AMD Antholo II X2 220 Processor which does unfortunately seem to be only a dual core processor.
Man, that really stinks. As mentioned, the rest of the game runs excellently, but I can't open the sticker shop because I lack quad power? That just seems so crazy. I figured since the rest of the game ran pretty fine that it was just a PC glitch (which tends to happen often). But if it's because of processor power, then dang.
I was having a blast with this, but I might unfortunately have to request a refund since I'll never be able to get the full features of the game it seems. I don't know if I want to spend the money to get a new processor since I literally just upgraded my graphics card last month to my current Nvidia GTX 960 -- which, as expected, was quite a pretty penny. Not unless any of you know a good processor that's inexpensive yet efficient enough.

I'm having the same problem. I am running an old system with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (E8400) with a GT720 graphics card. We only have the XBox 360 and I didn't want to buy an XBox One just to be able to play this game so I figured I would try running it on one of our PC's. It runs really well considering. With the exception of the sticker shop freezing problem we are really happy. We bought the Deluxe version and now we can't even get to the upgrades. It's very frustrating. The game is able to render incredible graphics but we can't access the sticker shop. Also, I looked quite a bit to understand the minimum requirements before buying this game but I could not find them anywhere. I hope that the software engineers can come up with a patch soon. My 6 year old die hard PVZ fan would be very happy.

I decided to shop around for used Intel i5 650 CPU's. They can be found used on Amazon for around $40. I'd be willing to pay that to fix the problem, unfortunately, the socket on my motherboard (LGA775) is not compatible. I'm afraid if the problem can not be fixed I'm going to have to request a refund because if I'm going to invest money in hardware then I'm just going to invest in an XBox One and the PC version of PVZ would be useless to me.
Any updates from EA would be greatly appreciated. If a fix is being considered that information would help us greatly. If no fix is planned, albeit bad news, then at least we can use that information in making decisions moving forward.
Also, EA, if a fix is not going to be made will there be any problems getting a refund at this point?

I can't imagine they will fail to update the game so the sticker pack window operates how every other window in the game functions. Their minimum specs don't specify a quad core (i5 650 is a 2 core processor) so everything should work on a dual core that's fast enough even if the animations might be slow or not as pretty based on CPU load. I'd suggest not giving up on them yet. Due to time frames for refunds, you might have to do that so you don't lose the option, but if you do... keep an eye out for this to be fixed. It's a fun game. It'd be a pity not to be able to play it due to one window.
One of my kid's PC's is in the same boat as you, so we're really pulling for this as well. Currently I have the one with the dual core log in on one of the other systems to buy sticker packs... which is all kinds of clunky but keeps from breaking the game for them.

Only thing that may be a problem is my Intel(r) Pentium(r) CPU G3258 @ 3.20 GHz 4 GHz, do you think that could be the problem?
- Anonymous10 years agoI used to have the G3258. It is the problem.
I recently bought an i3-4370 and it fixes ALL issues I've had. Note that the 4370 is a locked processor, meaning you cannot do multiplier overclocking. I haven't seen if I can do BCLK overclocking because I haven't tried it yet. - Anonymous10 years ago
Sorry but what is the final offical statement on this? Is it still "you have to have the min req, if you dont have it bad luck" or are they working on it? Like the others I am able to play in all modes but the sticker shop is not working (freezing when I am opening it).
Would be a pitty as I transfered my older chars (lvl 102) and cant use anything out of the Delux version or any other bonus....there must be many more players with the same issue
CheersGK
