Re: how many cards do you own?

I guess I've been playing for about a year.

I have 5472 plant cards and 5416 zombie cards. I've never spent any money on the game and I've never crafted a card (or recycled a card) except for the hero quests of course.

My collecting strategy has been to build up gems and then buy 10-packs (or 60 packs back in the day when that wasn't a cash only thing) and then when I have nearly 4 copies of every legendary to use gems to get the legendary or event cards I'm missing by using the "complete strategy deck" option. I've often completed strategy decks I have no interest in using just to get the cards and sometimes even if I don't really want the cards (Hippity Hop Gargantuar, ick) because I like collecting.

This is a lot harder to do today with ad views worth less and 60 packs not available...

    @Belanar out of curiosity, since you have not recycled any cards, are you hoping that they implement trading like a couple of the other guys on here or you just like collecting?
    Also, since you have all your cards, are there any legendary you have pulled way more than normal?
    I'm kinda opposite of you, as I have spent coin on the game and I recycle probably more than I should've(if I'm honest I definitely have) but I have no regrets about it.
    One thing that I have noticed though, is the unbalanced drop rate of legendary cards. I have said before that I have pulled 16 total bananasaurus so far which translated into 12000 sparks or 3 whole useable legendary.
    There's some I still have never seen, and even some old superrare that got boosted to legendary like Brainana I have only one and got it after the rarity change.
    It is not really all that important, but I am curious about how your drops have been.

    On another note, if nothing else when the next expansion is released you have a bunch of sparks waiting on you if you wish

    @patdk75 Nah, I don't expect them to introduce trading. Actually I started playing this game when SolForge basically died and one of the things they originally promised on KickStarter and never implemented was trading so I'm not going to expect it from a game that never even promised it. Basically the problem is any game where you can get cards for free can't implement trading because there's nothing stopping people from creating as many accounts as they want, getting free cards in each one then trading those cards to their main account.

    I just like collecting and so far haven't had any need to craft anything so might as well just see how many cards I can get. Which turns out to have been a good thing with the rarity changes... There's several "legendaries" I have more than 15 of now - including the Brainana.

    Aside from those, the legendary I have pulled the most of is 7 each of Shieldcrusher and the Great Zucchini from the original set. From Galactic I have 8 Space Cowboys, 9 Reincarnations and 10 Supernova Gargs while only having 2 Dragonfruits and Astrocados before I stopped buying packs. I expect distributions like that with random numbers though. Heck I still only have 1 Three-Headed Chomper but there's nothing I'm missing entirely except those "event" cards where the "event" was just "spend money to get this" rather than something you could earn. I expect I'll eventually get those as well, like how I got Leprechauns by spending gems to complete the "Ready, Set, Draw!" deck when Galactic came out.

    I'm still waiting for the new heroes to come up for gems as well since I didn't feel that buying those special packs for them was worth the gems when they included original set cards I had no need of!

    @Belanar that was probably a smart move on your part. I got Huge Gigantus, but it took me exactly 60 packs for him to finally drop, almost as though they were watching my account and once I was down to my last gems(enough for a single) and then said "ahhh here... lets just give it to him so he doesn't phone and raise a stink again... lol. Little side note to that... I called in a missing content issue and said that after 50 dollars, how many dollars do they want from everyone? I raised a pretty good stink I guess because they gave me 500 gems. Which I used to open three more packs while on the line still and letting them know the * I was getting.

    Beta Carotena I only did a 10+1 pack and about half a dozen singles and got squat.
    Only positive thing from the gigantus (aside from actually pulling him cuz I would have lost my *) was all the extras I got ended up netting me enough total sparks to craft 9 legendary cards plus pulling a whopping 4 out of the 60 packs, (which is kind of a joke considering that the packs had a lot more cards than the regular ones) so I was able to score 13 legendary plus a couple cards that eluded me and a new hero....which I only play once in awhile. Definitely not more than my favourite decks, but less than I thought I would, otherwise I wouldn't have spent as much as I fid
