I’ve had this issue playing on another person’s Ops.

My reticle completely disappeared on level 9 or 10 (cannot remember) and I play on PS4. This has only happened once to me.

Mmmme... it has happened to me solo (with AI) and also now that @spIash_damage mentioned it, on my partners Ops.

It has happened maybe 3/4 times I think.
Auch well... its a mystery... albeit a frustrating one :D

This may not be the solution, however it does fix a lot of other similar situations. Before you shut your system down, make sure you exit out of the game. I don’t know why, but this has lead to many reticle issues in the game.

Thats interesting...
While I usually exit the game properly, we occasionally have electric dropouts for a few moments which, of course, causes everything to shut down... only happens very sporadically but maybe that causes the issue : /

Point in case - when trying to write this reply last night during a thunder storm the electric went off (although PVZ was not involved this time)
Now that you have suggested this possible cause@dwooten77... I will keep it in mind for the next time it occurs.
And of course I will report back if any other information becomes apparent.
