Re: Low FPS Problem

You might manage 30 FPS by lowering the screen resolution, however, the game was designed for a far better graphics device than that (and you have the best / newest that Intel offers).

You only have a comparatively run of the mill Internet Surfer PC, not a proper gaming quality machine:

       OS: Windows 7/8 64bit
Video Card: NVIDIA 8800GT, AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5750
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.0 GHz
        Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c
        Compatible Memory: 4GB RAM
        DirectX: 10.0+
        Hard Drive: 15 GB
Input: Keyboard, Mouse or Dual Analog Gamepad

You should not expect to enjoy the game at its better settings

    @Nerzid

HD4600 can run this game better I think.  I seen reports of better atleast, and personal experience with a measly HD4000  (curious though if your 8GB is a single stick or dual-channel?  that could make a difference.. how much... *shrugs* I think it does a bit tho)

    Reduce your resolution to 1366x768.

Only use built-in screen no external monitor.

    Disable Vsync, AA, Blurr

    You can play with this:

    Open Notepad.
    Copy and Paste this:

    RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1
    PerfOverlay.DrawGraph 0
    PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1
    PostProcess.DofMethod 0
    PostProcess.BlurMethod 0
    PostProcess.DynamicAOEnable 0
    PostProcess.DynamicAOMethod 0
    Render.VSyncFlashTestEnable 0
    WorldRender.TransparencyShadowmapsEnable 0
    WorldRender.MotionBlurEnable 0
    WorldRender.MotionForceOn 0
    WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable 0
    WorldRender.SpotlightShadowmapResolution 128
    WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0
    RenderDevice.Dx11Enable 0
    RenderDevice.Dx11Dot1Enable 0
    RenderDevice.Dx11Dot1RuntimeEnable 0
    RenderDevice.VSyncEnable 0
    RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
    GameTime.MaxVariableFps 60

    Save it as "user.cfg"

    You cannot have user.cfg.txt
enable "View Extentions of Known File Types" from Folder Options in Control Panel

Put it in your PvZ directory
\\Origin Games\Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare

    /////

GameTime.MaxVariableFps 60 or 30  (this is your FPS limiter)

RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1   (play with this if you want 0 or 1 likely)

    **edit

Looks like your drivers are probably old too..

Since the game is now only running at a maximum of 35 fps, which is a playable but not a smooth framerate, I would agree that this is definitely not a proper gaming PC.

Is your RAM 2x4GB or 1x8GB stick?  HD4600 isn't no gaming grade chip but it's pretty impressive for being inside a CPU I suppose... Seems to me it should be getting better than 35fps... seeing as how a 3230m HD4000 can do that with 1366x768 on low... you get fps drops during action, not pleasant.

Couldn't find any tests of Intel IGP's but this shows what the difference *may* be if it's single DIMM or two with an IGP.

BTW you need to update your drivers.   Driver Date/Size: 1/15/2014  9.18.10.3186
