If offered to you, the phenomenal character pack should give you a complete character (though having been through it all, I find the 35K packs a better deal even though requiring more patience). Are you sure those one or two stickers didn't complete the character they were for? Are there any characters, outside of legendary, party, or frontline fighters, that you have -zero- stickers for?
It gave me 2 or 3 remaining stickers I needed for a soldier.. but usually it gives me my 5 character stickers.. but now it doesn't.
Are there any regular characters (not legendary, party, or FFF) that you don't have any stickers for? It will complete characters if you already have stickers for all regular characters. You got a completed characters which is what the pack promises.
In fact, today I saw a video in which someone bought a 150K pack for Goalie Star when they already had four of the stickers! Quite an ill advised purchase, I think.
EDIT Does anyone know if the phenomenal character pack will give nec'rose or captain whatever his name is from FFF?
The way the Phenomenal Sticker Pack appears to work, at least as I remember it since that Pack hasn't displayed for me in months, is that the character it gives you is randomly chosen from the characters which are not fully unlocked.
When it selects a character for which you have no stickers, you will get all five required stickers and unlock the character. This is the most common outcome when you are fairly new to the game and have numerous gaps in your character roster and few individual Stickers for those characters.
As you play the game and collect individual stickers and start to partially fill in your missing characters the likelihood is that the Sticker pack will randomly choose a character which you haven't unlocked but for which you have one or more of the individual Stickers. When this happens the Phenomenal Pack will fill in the missing pieces for that character and then randomly select a second character and fill out the remaining Stickers from the pack with pieces for that second character.
To clarify; say you have three pieces to the Tank Commander and your Phenomenal Pack randomly determines that's the one it will unlock for you; it will give you the two remaining Stickers so that the character will be unlocked, but that leaves three "blanks" in the Pack and since you have to have five cards in the Pack the system will pick a second character, like the Astronaut, and give you three pieces to that character which may not actually unlock it.
The more characters you have partially filled the greater the chance the Phenomenal Pack will pick one of those characters to unlock, which in turn leads to Phenomenal Packs with a mix of Stickers for two or more different characters.
So the pack should always unlock at least one character, and as you close in on completing your basic character roster, excluding legendary characters and characters associated with certain DLC content, it's possible that one Phenomenal Pack could start unlocking two or more characters for which you already have most of the pieces before you buy the Pack.
Once you have all of the characters which qualify to be inside the Phenomenal Pack it will disappear from the Sticker Shop.
The Phenomenal Character Pack will not include any Legendary characters or any characters associated with DLC content.
By the time the Trouble in Zombopolis update happened I had all of the non-Legendary characters, so the Phenomenal Character Pack had stopped displaying for me in the Sticker Shop and the fact that new characters were available for me to collect again did not make it return to the Shop, nor did it reappear for the Frontline Fighters update (which would have been a super easy way for me to obtain those characters), so you should find that the Pack cannot give you Toxic Citron, Breakfast Brainz, Nec'Rose; Commando Corn, Scallywag Imp or Captain Squawk in addition to all the other Legendary characters which are excluded.
Right, thats what I figured. If I'd thought about Toxic Citron and Br. Brainz, I'd not have bothered asking the question.
One reason it's hard to know exactly that the phenomenal character pack does or does not give is that most players realize before too long that they are a bad deal compared to being patient with the 35K packs, so we stopped opening them!
I got 2 hats instead of character stickers in that pack. I'm still missing a lot! I need 1 sticker for All Star Golf dude, I only have 2 citrus oranges, 2 Super hero dudes, I still need a non legendary pea shooter, a scientist, and 1 more sunflower. See? the 2 extra stickers could've gotten me closer to unlocking more.. Maybe I should stick with the 35k sticker packs?
