Re: promo code garden warfare II

@EA_Andy -

This is the second post recently from someone having trouble buying coins.  I would guess it's a simple problem, but I don't know the solution.

    Pandareno1999 thanks for the reply. Maybe someone else knows? I tried contacting EA by phone and chat, but it didn't work. I take it they're not available 24/7? Isn't there any way to buy coins without having a promo code? Or should the page function without one if you just don't fill in the promo code box?

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having this difficulty. I've never had this problem myself ( I play on Ps4, and when Sims 3 tried to install origin on my pc with each xpac, I clicked no. : P I don't like steam/origin/whatever microsoft did during fable 3 that didn't last)

    I wish I could help. Is there any alternate route to buying your packs? Shoot, I'd be outraged if it wouldn't let me use my coins to buy packs. Are you pressing a purchase coins button instead of a purchase pack button? <_> Argh lol

    Ziago J thanks for the reply. If I could find a way to buy the coins with a plain old debit card or paypal, I would do it. But when I click submit (there's only the one button), it just sits there; nothing happens. Why would a company make it so hard to give them money?

    I remember when Fable 3 Came out on X-Box Marketplace? (I dunno if you know about this)... They were so assured (Microsoft was) that they could be a Steam Style prorietor of game content, that when they decided to buckle... nobody could even purchase Fable 3 anymore.

    When I saw Origin on Sims 3, I felt it was the same thing. Since Origin is still going... I ponder. I wish there wouldn't be little clunks and crud like an impass through a purchase. =/ I don't think it's EA's fault entirely... maintaining a server for something isn't really an easy deal. While it seems simplistic enough (To just host a server on a computer and reset the computer every day), it doesn't work like that for big companies.

    But when you're a big mult-million or even billion dollar company, you might overlook things like your content hosting third party service like Origin. I do not claim to understand the workings of the business world, but an oversight such as faulty maintenance on such a thing could very well be the cause of this. =/ And if it's causing a defecit in sales well... I'd reprimand the one in charge of the whole division and force him to ensure cards get charged everyday with no error darn it.

    Well, I don't know Fable 3, nor do I own an X-Box, but I certainly agree with you about the business aspects in the case. Maybe the Goddess of Gaming will come along and cure the glitch tomorrow. Sure hope so.

    Thank you once again for your nice polite reply. If I should post my question to a different forum area, like the one for tech problems, say the word and I will do it.

    I know next to nothing about Origins, I'm a PS4 guy.  I'd suggest giving EA_Andy a day to reply (I don't know what time zone he is in) and then trying the help desk.

    I'd take this to the bug forum. =/ Though I don't know if it'll be anymore successful than it would be here. Gods, Goddesses or Developers, just give this individual a chance to spend his coins! THANK YOU. lol

    It doesn't matter whether it's posted in this subforum rather than that, the same people will see it.  Though I suppose I must agree it's more suited to the bug forum.
