this is an issue because it PS+ can't allow members who don't have it to play multiplayer, (it is in a way cheating the system) I have a theory that both players want to play online multiplayer, they will Both, need PS+.
Cheer up, it isn't the end of the world. there is still SOOOO much you can still do, you can do private play, with just you and your friend against AI in whatever multiplayer Mode you want, and why stop there, why not go to infinity, and get yourself some SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! loot, even some party characters, (warning party characters love to party🥳🥳🥳) or if you are bored, do some garden ops together, and make some sweet coin or earn some ⭐ and lastly, you can take on plants while being completely OP in THE FLAG OF POWER . so why worry, there is still so much fun to be had, now go out there and have some fun.
