Funny enough. My younger brother was the one that first got me into Garden Warfare 1. I enjoyed it. He stopped. Then he got me into Team Fortress 2. I enjoyed it while it lasted. He stopped and moved on.

Then Destiny, Overwatch, and as you mentioned, Fortnite came out. That's when I said "nope." It's entertaining to watch him play those games, but I simply didn't see myself enjoying them for one reason or another.

Zero players online? For an hour? Did you try switching to different game modes or let the matchmaking try to find a match for ten seconds before backing out?

I say this because the most I've ever gone without finding any players on the PS4 is four minutes. And that's when I was set on trying to find a match on garden ops. There's almost always one or a few lobbies active in Turf Takeover or Mixed Mode that I can join in seconds.

    Since he said he got a refund, I guess it's a moot point.  We might have been able to help out with advice for region and time.

    Haven't you ever played a whole match of ops when no one ever joined?  I remember a game, about a year and a half ago when I was leveling up the Chemist.  I finished all ten waves up on my own, only to get hammered by three chompers in the landing zone.  Man was I mad.

    I actually do play Fortnite with both my friend that plays GW2 with me and with another of our friends but only the 'save the world' mode, the PvE horde defense mode and its secondary to GW for us.

    I like Overwatch but their loot box system is really obnoxious and I haven't played in months. I used to play a lot of TF2 but not so much in ages. Never played either Destiny or the Division and reading on those glad I never did! My shooter experience goes way back to the original Wolfenstein 3D and Doom and of course the awesome James Bond: Goldeneye on the N64.

    I wish more people did play Ops. I have joined and hosted some open ones and had people show up but its pretty rare. Last night after getting the quests done I jumped into G&G and the lobby was full/near full as usual on PC east coast at about 8 PM central time and played a few matches. I do feel that the game has become a bit stagnant but still love it. I hope GW3 really knocks it out of the park and has more longterm DLC to keep interest high and launches with less issues and better balance.

    Yeah, I've soloed a few rounds in garden ops when I had an open lobby. There was even one or two times in GW1 a long time ago when I managed to solo an entire Crazy round as a shadow flower because nobody joined. Maybe some players prefer mashing the create session instead of the join session?

    I've learned that you have to start up a lobby with easy difficulty. Anything off the bat Hard or Crazy and you'll be hoping for the lottery almost.

    That sucks about getting mauled by chompers. I would've had a bad day too, but probably as an archaeologist.

    I've heard really good things about Golden Eye for a while, but with it being on a mythical console, I haven't played it myself. :P

    If we're bringing up other shooters, I did enjoy the first two Halos. The first one for its sweet campaign and the second for its superior multiplayer. I haven't played Wolfenstein or the Division to have an opinion on those.

    I've heard rumors about Minecraft having interconnectivity across consoles like PC, phone, and Xbox, but... then you have those that don't support it (Sony PS4). Maybe down the line it will be possible for multiplayer games like this one so that there are more lobbies active?

    lol we had a house rule of no Oddjob after a friend was playing him and I was Jaws and couldn't hit the guy! And crouching but moving Oddjob? Almost unhittable! I was usually General Ouramov.
