Re: What do you think about a zombie card that destroys a plant with 3 of strength

I was thinking about a trick called Weed-ier Spray or something that destoyed all plants 3 and above the other day.  Cost would have to be rather high though (~8-10).

  • I don't really like the idea.
You are mostly talking about a Zombot 1000 Jr, but worse.

(You know, since Zombot kills ALL plants, disregarding of their attack AND is a 9/9 zombie on the field).

Plus, if they made a card like that would make the Zombot WAAY less cooler, since their effect would not feel "Legendary" anymore.

What about a trick that reduces the health of a plant? (Just health, not attack)

Like: Pesticide - 4 cost trick. Plants here and next door get -3 health.

This would be a more flexible trick, since you don't specifically NEED a 3 attack plant to use the card.

That I could get behind.  Would be lethal devastating in a your Defensive/Reactive deck.

  • So you guys consider adding more one-sided wipes for Zombies......if you look at the TRICKS (decide for yourself which one is better for each case)
    AOE

    Acidrain vs. Scorched Earth,
    Chickening vs Cherrybomb.
Weedspray vs Doomshroom (which isnt even one-sided and conditional)
    Tactical cuke
    Wallnut Bowling

    Spotremoval:
    Locust Swarm vs. Squash
    Sizzle vs Cakesplosion
    Banana Bomb vs. Bunge Plumber
    Rolling stone  vs Hammer

    Alien Ooze vs. Lawnmower
    Zombot Wrath  vs. Berry Blast

    Shamrocket  vs Rocket sience
    B-Flat
    Nibble
    Last Mission
    Lava Guave

So....the amount of Removal is the same. Plants got more AoE while Zombies have less often limiting conditions....so what the fuzz about?

Almost always as a zombie you die before turn 9 with 3/3 or 3/4 plants, then Zombot is useless.

  • I do agree with what @wonoz said.
Plants have many AoE removal (considering plants with splash damage AND tricks), while Zombies lack this kind of mechanics.

I just suggested a card that would help remove the 3-attack cards (that was the original topic of this discussion) but on a more flexible way. It doesn't exactly need to be like I said.

you play brainy and hearty with rustbolt......im fairly sure its intended that the Hero with all the good carddraw and hate of Hearty doesn´t have all the good removal as well.

if you look for good spotremoval you should take a look at beasty. maybe immorticia is for you?

  • I never said it had to be a Hearty or a Brainy card!! xD

It can be a Crazy, Beastly or Sneaky card too!

Once again, I just suggested what I thought is a good AoE removal since Zombies lack these kind of cards. (In comparison with what the plants have).

I suggested it that way because I think it can be used on a more flexible way rather that creating a card SPECIFICALLY designed to kill 3-attack plants.

...i think it is wrong person

  • Aren't you talking about ShadowTron? He is the one that requested help with his Rustbolt deck.
  • My opinion is the game has never been more balanced than it is now. There's a reason for no 3 attack plant kills in my opinion. Change it and I think it would throw things off.

Maybe you haven't played with a zombie deck in iOS in level 50. You die and die and die. ZOMBIES DECK ARE SO WEAK AFTER GALATIC GARDENS.

WHY PLANTS HAVE THEIR CARD AND ZOMBIES NOT????

PLANTS HAVE "WHACK-A-ZOMBIE" THAT DESTROYS A ZOMBIE WITH 3 OF STRENGHT.

ZOMBIES MUST HAVE THEIR CARD TOO AS PLANTS.

Alien Ooze (will at least knock the plant down to 1 AP if it was a 3 AP).

    B-flat.

    Locust Swarm.

    Lurch For Lunch.

    Final Mission.

    Zombot's Wrath.

    Cakesplosion.

    Black Hole + Rolling Stone.

    Black Hole + Bungee Plumber.

    Backyard Bounce.

There are more combinations, but I hope you get the point.  Some cost 3 brains (your comparison to Whack-a-Zombie) some cost more than 3 brains, but some are cheaper. While it would be a nice to have more tricks, I think Zombies are OK at the moment.

I think we need only 1 card to destroy a plant with 3 of strength. Not 2 or 3 that cost a lot of brains and that there are only in some decks.

I hate flower 3/5, the plant 3/7, and the other plants that have 3/4. They are so difficult to destroy.

ZOMBIES NEED A "WHACK-A-PLANT", PLANTS HAVE "WHACK-A-ZOMBIE" AND ZOMBIES NOT. =(

Call me silly, but I like that Plants and Zombies don't have "identical" cards/tricks.  Game would get boring then.

  • I do agree. There are already some similar cards between both sides (like Rocket Science and Shamrocket), I don't think it is necessary to keep duplicating cards.

Another thing is that the cards that you mention aren't that big of a deal. (at least from my humble point of view).

Power Flower (the 3/5) is probably the most annoying one because of the strikethrough factor, but you can leave the rest without any trouble. You can always play a simple 1/1 infront of them to block their attacks.

Zombies have already many dirty ways to deal with plants, like bounce, lethal and easy ways to buff other zombies. (And we even have now some freeze as well!!)

Plants for example, doesn't have anything even close to Weed Spray or Rolling Stone. I think it is fair for them to have some plants that the zombies can't instantly kill.

(But as I mentioned before, you can always bounce or place a lethal zombie in front of it).
