Re: Why I feel that BfN did not match GW2's success

@Iron_Guard8 The problem is that bfn is overall just a watered down mess that just due to brand name (imagine if this was a totally new ip without past game nostalgia for launch day sales) people are acting like it wasn't anything but a total flop in nearly every regard and while gw1 and 2 had their flaws they should not be used as an excuse by people trying to justify bfn's worst aspects.

We have less gamemodes and somehow worse ai.

Watered down or poorly implemented mechanics in gamemodes as seen in suburbination, turf, gnome bomb and ops.

The pve areas are fun the first play through but when you go back the flaws are so glaringly evident and with a nighttime reskin of the first area it already feels like they're running out of ideas (don't get me started on the worldbuilding contradictions either).

The class design feels all over the place and this is so much more evident in support classes.

Abilities and animations are widely inconsistent in whether they work or not.

The steam release never even broke 1k all time players and was already sinking fast in reviews.

The upgrade system/legendary upgrades are simply not as fun as variants (tbh, to hell with balance if a game simply isn't fun to play it doesn't matter).

The overall bugs and glitches that were so common place in game it's practically impossible to ignore them (just spawn in as plants in tti and tell me you don't see sharks going through rocks and walls).

The devs not communicating and sometimes even lying and ignoring us about the game.

The games marketing is not good imo, a music video dosent tell you about the gameplay, maps, and features.

Scummy microtransactions and fomo grind tactics to try and keep players playing.

Gw1 and 2 for all their flaws, innovated to make a truly unique ip while bfn imitated and tried to fix what isn't broken and it flopped because of that.

@stukapooka Pretty much what you stated (apart from toxicity) are my least favourite parts of the game. There were some good parts of the game though, would you agree?
