We have an update to share regarding this matter: Updating PVZ Garden Warfare 2 PC with EA anticheat.
The same "player" returns today. He joins the opposing team, changes teams in the middle of the match and makes almost 30 kills, gaining prominence at the end. Congratulations, EA! Rating 2 for this game.

This is excellent news!
Is there any however going to be any distinction between cheats and mods, or are both going to be countered by the incoming anti-cheat system? For example, will entering multiplayer specifically activate anti-cheat measures at that point, or will they be active from when the game is launched? The modding community will I'm sure appreciate it were it to be the former and not the latter.
Regardless, this news is of relief to us all and is greatly appreciated!
