I'm sorry to say, the rose is pathetically weak. She went from kind of being week, to being by far the weakest character now. I know some will disagree ( there's always at least one), but she is very bad. I never ever see someone use in multiplayer. Heck, I almost never see her in Giddy Park. She needs a severe damage buff, and maybe a slight health one also. Her jinx is not long lasting or powerful. I've met some people who won't even touch her, and many more who won't use her outside of Giddy Park. Please, please buff her.

@Bladylol3 "Get Good" is probably one of the most useless responses to any balance suggestions, especially when there is a clear issue. Do you really believe that Rose is on par with the current zombie supports, the scientist and engineer? The engineer can also completely immobilize a plant with his stun. Be more respectful please, and back up your arguments with actual points rather than insulting a player's skill level. It just makes you look like a huge tool.

Thanks, that was in-depth. I also think her jinx is borderline useless. I find her most useful in Giddy Park. I never see her in any of the multiplayer games though. So she just needs some minor tweaks. Goatify, and arcane enigma are the only good abilities I feel she has. I think maybe make a few of her abilities cost less and vastly improve her jinx will go a very long way

Kind of agree.Rose can be godlike in objective modes. For example, you can arcane enigma in on the wave of a goatify and steal those batteries before the zombies even know you are there.However, as mentioned elsewhere, as her attack is weak it is harder to score high even when playing good support.I think her thistles should lock on easier and more reliably, and jinx needs some kind of buff. I think she has to stop firing thistles to jinx which makes it not worthwhile in the middle of a gunfight unlike just about all the other characters abilities.

I play Rose in Multiplayer and I've faced players who are using Rose when I'm on the Zombie team.Rose is designed to fit a certain niche- she's a mid-range support character so if you're using her outside of that comfort zone you can experience a lot of frustration; especially if you wind up in short range or close quarters combat such as when you're playing Team Vanquish or Vanquish Confirmed where Zombies can get close from a variety of directions.I play a fair amount of Turf Takeover and Garden Ops and that's where Rose can shine because the Zombies will be in a set direction striving to achieve or defend an objective so it's rather easy to keep Rose at her ideal range where her homing thistles get the most benefit.In addition to be really satisfying to play Rose needs the right upgrades, that was pretty true in GW2 and the same can be said about some of the other character types as well- some of the characters are pretty satisfying to play right off the bat at Recruit level while others, like Rose, seem disadvantaged by comparison and I think that tends to be the case because some of the classes are tailored to a certain role other than front line combat.I'm still promoting my Rose so I have yet to unlock all of her upgrades but I don't find her to be a weak character when I'm using the correct tactics for her.

@Bladylol3 Wow, useless reply. Yeah, "she's perfectly fine". That's why nobody uses her in multiplayer. "Get good" is a very weak response. Don't troll, offer an in depth opinion.

@Liveone74 I at first thought she was bad myself, but after a while I came to believe she's actually pretty decent. While her damage output is rather meh, the difficulty a zombie experiences in trying to hit her is immense. She basically functions the same as Nightcap in that respect. Her also having access to Goatify, which can shut down entire zombie teams, and Arcane Enigma, the biggest get-out-of-jail-free card in the game, also significantly add to her strengths. I will however agree that Jinx is hardly impactful. Most of the time I don't bother using it since I could've done more damage in the time it takes to cast it.

@Liveone74 I think it depends greatly on the players using her. Sometimes Ill catch people playing citron. But after they die 2 times they'll switch to peashooter or snapdragon. I've had some games where there are no citrons at all. This happens alot when zombies are on attack as well. 5 dudes will pick deadbeard, but after 3 mins of making 0 progress towards capping the point, they'll switch to an attack character. I've had plenty of games with bouqets of roses latching themselves onto the top plants on their teams. It's simply a matter of understanding how to play the character and her intended role :o

Now I don't play her too much myself, I did painfully slowly max her out though. It could be that the character isn't actually bad, but the aiming and hitbox sizes are. Once they fix these issues you may have an easier time playing her.

But still kinda lame how she only has 1 real amazing upgrade (timesnare) amongst a huge pile of useless ones.

Um, the sunflower latches to people, I feel confused But I agree, I see a lot of people switching to characters they feel are stronger. I have the Rose almost mastered, but I still have only seen her in Giddy Park, and only after I prove I can dominate with her. I just feel with a few tweaks she would be much more useful. I mastered the Sunflower very early on, some small tweaks and we'll see her much more often.

@Liveone74 Yeah I agree she's pretty bad right now. She's uncomfortable to play and feels very clunky compared to how she played in GW 2. Well.... I suppose you can say that about all of BFN's characters, but it just feels especially that way for Rose.

Also.... just compare Rose to the current zombie supports and its clear we have some problems. She is objectively worse than both of them, having less utility AND damage. Rose definitely needs some changes. I'm not sure if any simple number increase buffs are what she needs... she just feels like she was made... poorly... and now I'm not sure if she will ever be fun to play again. Thats my opinion, at least.
