It's hit or miss in other games too, but team swapping is either nonexistent or more restricted and TF2 let's you set up your server to auto-scramble or let an admin scramble the teams if the game is a blowout, and I've been team swapped during a match if people leave and I got killed as it auto-balances the teams. It does get annoying if you're the scout that just ran the briefcase in for a point but it's better than matches that are 7-3 players.
In Paladins the matches are tiny, 5v5 and once assigned a team and you pick a character, that's what you play for that match. If people leave they get replaced with bots. So indeed, no team swapping.
I haven't played Overwatch in a couple years now but it was 6v6 and you could be in some major blowouts there. Not as bad as it is currently here, but not great at times. No idea if they've ever fixed that, but there was no team swapping.
In World of Tanks, yeah it could be ugly. I was in a tiny clan that mostly played for fun although my overall rating was 'green' which was decent and in some matches, especially at high tiers, it could be disgusting. There's no respawning in that game; you get eliminated you can just observe or leave the match and grab a different tank so while blowouts were common there, it was usually a quick match and then you got a completely different team next game so it was less of an issue. No team-swapping here either.
Those are my big MP team-based shooters I've played. I played BF:1942 but mostly on LAN with bots, never played much CoD (blech), and never even looked at counterstrike.

@spIash_damageOkay I will be the first to admit that my BfN give-a-damn has been in the shop recently because it is pretty busted, but did I miss a new batch of rainbow stars or am I miscounting or remembering? I've been in on and off to do bulb quests but I don't remember a second batch of rainbow stars?I don't recall getting any more past the 500 we got earlier in the month either.
This whole thing with the rainbow stars is why I haven't bothered trying to master certain characters- the game is more fun to me when I try out different characters and play styles every time I log in. I've only used my earned coins for the reward-o-tron
@ToastedSarnie We share the same concerns.
Also, @Iron_Guard8 I agree with your opinion of call of duty. It's always been too fast paced for me and just not fun.
- @spIash_damage I don't remember another 300 free rainbow stars? And I do give the staff some credit, heck I'm the one who says the new Rux is reasonable considering!
My point is you should argue for something that you think has the best chance of being added to the game, which is why I keep arguing for that weekly exchange. You could rally together and ask for 1000 Star Costumes to be worth 500k coins, but that's not going to happen is it? Despite all the Me Too's and likes. - @Iron_Guard8 & @TLEsquire No, me neither - I assumed at the time that it was a typo about the free bulbs??

@ToastedSarnie That's my thinking too but wasn't sure and the post by @TLEsquire made me ponder if perhaps it wasn't.
- @Iron_Guard8 Yes, same! 😂

@dwooten77(& everyone dwooten replied to!) I'm intruiged how they might improve the matchmaking?? What would they base it on?
Also, they've made changes to keep players in a group on the same side just recently haven't they, so what would take priority? Most groups are friends at similar levels, wouldn't that alone complicate things?
Would it take longer to find lobbies?
Please forgive me if the answers are blatantly obvious to everyone else! 😂I’m gonna start a matchmaking discussion as I think many of us have a lot to say (to prevent us from further derailing this thread). You bring up some great points as does dwooten...
