Solar Flare sunburn +2 is useless when activated by a Block
This update has too many pointless changes but this one emphasizes and underscores the fact. What had been a nifty power that can save you mid game now taunts you with its uselessness. Even as written it was a ‘super’ power weaker than the 2pt cryobrain zombie trick that can stack with itself and lasts all game. Or the 1pt Flag Zombie.
i have played this game for 7 years. I recently lost my log in on a collection that had every deck complete and was okay building it all back up from the bottom. I was even willing to spend $ again to climb back up. But this ‘balance’ reset makes it worthless. I was starting with Solar Flare. But why spend $$ on a Solar Flare deck now? It has the worst superpowers in the game. A significant competitive disadvantage.
When I had every deck completed I used to play every hero. All seemed balanced and interesting, each with its own quirks and weaknesses. And switching between zombies and plants I’d constantly see new tactics from other players. The game balance had finally reached an interesting equilibrium.
Now we are back to the bad old days where there are only a few winnable tactics and it’s clear some programmer with a Gargantuan fetish has been given charge of the franchise.lol. It’s not only buggy, the changes seem like they weren’t playtested before release. Now there are figures that when played opponents simply quit knowing they can’t be beaten.
we’ve been through resets before. This one is both radical and wrongheaded imo. I hope future changes will be extensively tested before they’re dropped. Meanwhile this one needs many many fixes.
