Everyone who plays this game fairly regularly will eventually end up in the same position. As far as infinity mode goes people will either get what they want from it and stop playing it or just give up playing it all together. Then the stars will become meaningless. Personally I think its a bit short sighted on the dev behalf. The only other answer is to bring out something in the future that is unlockable obviously by them.
