Exactly. I've been stuck at 39 for a couple days and it's infuriating to take a step forward then get beat by someone who's already hit the cap. Yes, I understand that someone level 20 can just as easily come along and beat me, too. However, when that happens I'm fine because that's someone else who's trying to climb the ranks. But once you've already hit level 50 you're not doing yourself any favors. At that point you're only taking star away from someone else.
So, bring ultimate, at the beginning of each season, when I didn't other 39s trying to climb up myself, who do you think they are? Other ultimate Leaguers! My climb is hard. Again, why do you feel entitled to an easier climb? Maybe (and I know this isn't the TRUTH you want to hear) but maybe 39 is where you belong.
I don’t feel entitled to it being easy. I just believe in going easy on others (again seeing this is a free to play game with built in rewards, why not be easy on everyone since we can all benefit?). I can’t make you be a nice person, but it’s not going to stop me from asking.
- I don't think it's a matter of nice, I think it's a matter of principle. I don't believe every one deserves a trophy for trying. I want to know I earned my wins and that when I make it to ultimate, I deserve to be there. I, personally, want to play against the best. When I win against them, I know I can hang with the best; when I lose, I can learn something from a better play.
Yes, it is a f2p game, that doesn't mean f2HighestTierWithoutPlayingtheBest.
I understand your motivation now, but don't think we stay to be mean, we stay and play there because it's fun. It's not like we choose to play you when we do, we there for the 50s, which we have better chance of playing in ranked. I play with a few lower levels in a day, but nowhere near the amount of high level opponents that are experienced and using high level decks.
In the end, to me it's not nice to give people the easy route. I was more arguing against the screaming title of your thread, which is a command. But at least now you understand you can't force people to be *your* definition of "nice."I think that this problem is more a matter of perspective rather than execution.
This problem has been around since the beginning of the game (High league players facing low league players). I remember being crushed by them when I started playing, even on casuals.
It wasn't until I reached Gold League that I was able to finally beat an Ultimate League Player.
I was so mad at the beggining, asking constantly why the matchmaking would face two players which such a huge skill difference together.
I hoped that one day this problem would be solved, and as we can see right now, it is still here and has no sight in leaving any time soon.
So, I decided to learn from them.
"Why would they play this card?"
"Why on this lane and not on this one?"
And I started recognizing some common patterns among them.
Like, not revealing the Superpower you have in hand until you actually need it.
This makes the other player play around it. Something like...
"Demn, I want to play my super big Poison Oak against Super Brains, but he may have the Cut Down to Size superpower...
If he has it, he will kill my plant with just 1 brain, and my turn will practically have been in vain"
Things like that.
So my suggestion for you my friend, is to deal with it. Some players (like me) play no more Ranked once we reach Ultimate, but some other players will continue playing.
Until the matchmaking is fixed (again, we still have no clue when this will be done) I suggest you pay close attention to them.
They reached Ultimate for a reason, try to learn from them.
Sorry daalnnii, but being at level 50 myself, I have to agree w/ my counterpart. There's nothing in it after you reach lvl 50. Every time I reach it I either play PvE or Casual. I still hate fighting level 50's on my climb and we start at lvl 30. These guys are starting at the bottom of the totem pole w/ little advantage over us. Let us try to empathize w/ them by staying off an area that gives no rewards to us yet other than stars that literally mean nothing as of right now.
- I am more of the camp that @904e8d29c3cd2aa2 mentioned. I like to test my decks and the best place to do it is where it's play to win more than play for fun. I don't always feel like playing with the same deck and since I have the cards, may as well put them to work
