I've been playing Apex since launch (Feb) and didn't aware of Picnic Alpha.

I’m afraid you’ll probably be too late to participate but maybe one of the mods (EA team) can get you in.
I registered for the alpha build, the day it was announced, waiting to see if I get the formal invite to try it out.
I played GW2 for over 3 years now, since it was released, so what are the chances I'll be formally invited to try it out?

Go look at your playtest portal page. I received no email regarding approval.
