forgot how much I missed 3 scientists on the leaderboard every game...nerf this trash asap.
As a acorn rider on an oak. The scientist instant kills the rider with the steam upgrade

- @Gormey Lets give the character with 3 instant all direction teleports to close the gap and instaheal a weapon that can deal over 80 damage per shot and can even melt oak-popcaps resident geniuses at least in gw1 and 2 he had to choose if his abilities would help himself or his team more.
@Gormey I’ve witnessed a lot of Steam Blasters spawn camping the plant’s spawn in Turf Takeover, must say I don’t like it at all. I must say unfortunately that they can excel at spawn camping due to excessive damage and 3 big and instant warps. 😞

There's no defence for it...I've seen average players all day destroy with it...15-20 kills with scientist compared to 5 or under when they play plants...zip in, dump ammo, zip out, rinse, repeat....no skill involved....going to be a rough month. Give the scientist 200 damage for accurate shot if you like but this area damage from steam is just insane. I'm terrified to see a skilled player using it.
If you want to know if a player is using it...just look for the 4 dead plants at once pop up on the map and run the other way. I've never seen plants get melted like this except for full space station.
I haven't unlocked the new upgrade yet so was reserving judgement but so far I have had similar experiences. Stream blaster seems to beat every plant up close, even Snapdragon and Chomper who normally win at close range in my experience. Combine it with the teleports and you have an unwinnable fight.
Worried we are returning to the bad old days of packs of scientists playing all out attack rather than support.
- @Gormey You mean there was actually a Scientist on the podium who had the heal master boast?! All the Scientists I've seen up there have had very nice 50-80 vanquishes & ZERO heals..... 😒
Poor Corn - the only attack class to so far get a legendary upgrade & he really got the short straw didn't he?? - @ToastedSarnie Funny I went back to original corn to do cob busters char challenge and forgot how much better it is then legendary...never equipping that again.
- @Gormey Yep, I abandoned that pretty sharpish - the upgrade might suit some, I guess but it's not for me.
- @Gormey This game might be the worst I’ve played on a PS4. Funny enough, it has become a laughing stock on multiple message boards I’m on. Trash analytics with worse tome management, they will wait until the game is completely dead and the release a new title, as much as they say they won’t.
I come around and read the boards here and a couple other EA for insight on future games and company direction. As an investor in EA, it breaks my heart to see what they have become.
