Are you on PC?
If so, here are some steps you can try:
1. Disable the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher
2. Run Origin and Plants vs Zombies as Administrator
3. Clear Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
4. Uninstall/Reinstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/
5. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
6. Create a new Temporary Windows User Account, and see if you're able to launch the game under that Account
Try these steps, and let us know if it works.

Have you also checked out this Link, and tried closing any background apps that might be interfering with Origin?

I uninstalled Origin and all the games from the secondary disk, and installed in my main disk, and works! 🙂
