The game released...what's changed?

Ok so, I'm encountering alot of problems from before when I played last month.

The game still feels as stiff as ever,  the aim still feels off, characters are underbalanced...Why are they releasing it now??? "Founders edition" my behind.

It feels like nothing has changed besides moving a few of the stuffy flowers around. Things like extremely unwarranted early releases and roadmaps are big red flags to me. It's almost as if it's a paid pre-alpha access.

Not even the price for a single capsule purchase has changed...What's going on here? I know that you got a lot of feedback and naturally, you won't be able to incorporate it all but this is...just so disappointing.

Now I'm not one for much complaining and I wasn't even going visit the forums to write this in the first place.

But I wouldn't be here if after the first game of Turf Takeover, the game hadn't hard crashed to the homescreen on my xbox. 😑

  • @CUUPIDON Tell me about it. Made a post yesterday basically saying similar things. Of course it was immediately filled with people who are pro-EA and will defend them til their dying breath, saying that ‘its early access and things will change before Oct 18th’. Since nothing changed since the alpha i dont know why they believe this time it’ll be different.

I’ll say what i said at the end of my post. Not angry, just disappointed.

I love the heck out of the PvZ series and Popcap but these are the same red flags that Anthem had and we all know how that game is going right now. I don't want to see them fail but this is really worrisome. I believe that no one wants to see Popcap fail and that's why people are defending them, not necessarily EA. But at some extent, it has to be obvious that this game is still in development. Unless there was some serious crunch going on at Popcap then I doubt much has changed in that month(not even, it's barely been a month).

Like I said before, this is early access but with a price tag attached this time and how is that acceptable...?

This was just another attempt from EA to garner as much money as they can before the game is even finished and I could see straight through that the minuet I saw the announcement store page. Going down the same road as Anthem like I said, it just so heart breaking that EA won't give it a rest already. Greed is an ugly look on Popcap.

    😞

  • Nothing at all has changed! Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, but it seems like our feedback was really for nothing, but that’s fine since our feedback was never guaranteed to be added in. Also, why was it even called an alpha? It was basically the full game with missing features. It’s really strange.

@ItsaGamer05 I understand not being able to use all of the feedback but it feels like they literally used none of what they were provided. Then again it's not like they could. It's been a month since the alpha.
