The XP that I get from games just sometimes doesnt count

I was playing a match of turf takeorver ando got my cactus to level 10 then I left the match and he went back to level 9 for some reason this isnt even the first time that this has happened since it occurred with my deadbeard electro pea and z7 imp marine biologist and a bunch of other characters
