I request that you read my post above yours, in which I explain why I am unable to obtain the Unicorn by reaching max rank in Garden Warfare 1. My rank in 1 is irrelevant due to the issue explained therein, but let it be said that I cared about my rank in that game too. If I could so simply just 'go back and do it', I likely would. That isn't the issue for me.
I don't just want another 50 levels. I'd love to have the Unicorn. I'd love to be able to receive my loyalty rewards that I have earned. But I cannot at the moment, and those '50 levels' are just a slap in the face. Because of a technical limitation inherent in EA accounts, I not only can't have my Unicorn but I can't even have my max rank in GW2 either.
I acknowledge that my issue is one that not many people will share, which is a large part of why I am focusing on the generalities and the issue I see of tying rank to a loyalty reward - rank being something all players have access to, while Unicorn is not - instead of on whether or not 'go back and earn it' is a viable solution (though again I note one day in the future this will not be a viable solution). But please don't accuse me of being lazy, unwilling to put in the work, or not understanding the point of a loyalty reward, especially after I have already explained why I don't already have Unicorn happily nestled among my selectable characters.
Your unique circumstances don't justify releasing the UniChomper in any other fashion. You should consult EA again with your account(s) consolidation.
The UniChomper is not for new players to test drive in hero showcase. It is for players who max their rank in GW1 old or new.

Which is why I made other suggestions, such as making the Unicorn not count towards rank. You are so openly superior to people who are trying to argue the other side, I'm sure I'll never be able to change you opinion. I know my unique circumstances justify nothing, for they are unique, but they effect my opinion. Whether my circumstances can be fixed by EA is neither here nor there (though it's not like I haven't gone through the proper channels to see if they could without erasing all of my everything before settling myself into 'well I guess I won't have him' mode).
I expressed excitement and support for the idea that I might be able to in some fashion access this thing I have been denied by circumstance. I offered reasons for my feelings and suggestions for ways I thought the issue might be solved and hopefully keep everybody happy. I think this sense of entitlement is so... strange, to have people saying in one breath 'no this must be made exclusive only to people who achieved this great thing!' and then in the next 'come on it's not so hard to achieve this thing everybody can do it you're just lazy!'
Ranking is fun in GW2. It reflects time spent and dedication to the game. GW1's ranking system reflected ability to complete specific challenges or purchase challenge skips. I'm not saying it wasn't fun, but it's different. Likening desire to reach max rank in 2 with ability/desire to do so in 1 is not an even exchange, and will not always be a possibility anyway. If anybody from EA or PopCap reads these threads, keep the Unicorn exclusive if you must, but don't bar dedicated future players from obtaining maximum rank in the current game.
One day Garden Warfare 3 will be out, and somebody will be complaining about their inability to obtain whatever loyalty reward max GW2 rank gets you because they came into the series too late to get Unicorn Chomper. And I bet there will be people telling them it's too bad they couldn't bend time and space they must not have been dedicated enough to deserve it.

Disregarding your circumstances, it is by design that players who started from the beginning have access to certain things that new players won't. It is no accident the UniChomper has levels or that players who start in GW2 won't be able to max their rank unless they go to GW1.
You must make a case that the UniChomper effects your ability to progress in GW2. The UniChomper was a reward for specific guidelines that were not required to unlock (progress) everything in GW1. You don't need it to play GW2 and it doesn't effect your ability to play it either, therefore you are not entitled to it nor is any player new or old above maxing their rank in GW1 to earn it.
I truly sympathize with your circumstances, but please go back to GW1 and max your rank or talk with EA again.

Alright. Just putting this out there. I am max rank in GW1.
My EA account that GW2 is linked to is an old one that I do not use anymore, and not the one that my GW1 is linked to, so it does not recognize me for loyalty rewards.
In order to un-link the old account and link the proper account, I would need to consent to the erasure of all of my progress made in any EA game ever - Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Spore, Sims, possible loss of SW:tOR characters and items, and loss of all progress in GW1, across both accounts and every system I play on. There is no way around this, I have already discussed the situation extensively with EA support and accepted that there is no real solution, as I am unwilling to sacrifice everything in so many games.
In order to get loyalty rewards, I would need to buy another copy of GW1 on the account my Xbox One is linked to, and level up all over again. I have so little disposable income that spending even $20 on a game I already own is not a possibility right now. Maybe I will be able to do it in the future, hopefully before the time limit runs out, but it is neither here nor there.
And again I fully understand that this is a unique circumstance that is probably only being experienced by me and is probably not even relevant to the discussion at this point, so this is the last time I'll explain it.
Just please stop telling me to go do something I have already explained will not get me the Unicorn Chomper in the first place, and on top of that is something I have already done. Thank you.

In situations like these, EA/PopCap should manually amend your account and give it to you with proof you have levelled it on the account?
Im with @IronCatFish47 and @MoonLiteWolf on this one though and I couldn't care less if it gave me extra ranks or not. I didn't spend a month grinding out levels on GW1 just so I could max my rank in GW2, I did it solely for the unique and beautiful Unicorn Chomper which means so much to me than it ever would to someone who doesn't earn it the same way (totally not aimed at you here).
I guess in your situation, you just have to way up whether or not you want it bad enough and whether you'll play them other games again or not. You're not the only player with account mix ups, I've heard of others who have levelled to 200+ on other accounts but have had to start again etc, it's pretty much the same thing.
Such is life, and in many other game titles I've played there are items I'll never be able to obtain due to similar situations but I don't ever mention or comment about them, I just accept the fact I'll never have them and work on what's available to me.

@IronCatFish47 You don't need to tell me UniChomp's intention, I know exact what it was intended for...but if they are giving people till the beginning of 2017 to get the max rank I'm pretty sure giving people a chance to see if it's worth it is perfectly fine. To say no one should even get to touch it though they can't own it - does seem selfish...especially if it does affect max rank.

The UniChomper's worth cannot be measured in hero showcase, because it was a gift from POPCAP for doing something that isn't required or a sign of progress.
