Like OP is saying you cannot mute someone during the loading screen the first time you're entering a game. Alt-tab is useless for this phase crunchipop.
It would be nice if the voice-chat would be disabled by standard during the loading screen and if the Alt-Tab method would also be available during character selection. During char selection you also still cannot mute a person and if someone is screaming your ears of it's not so nice to enable a new customization or taking your time to decide which character you're starting with this time.
So my suggestion would be:
Enable voice-chat after your first spawn (since that's also the first time in the game you can mute someone/everyone)
or
Enable voice-chat after the loading screen(not during as it is now) and add the Alt-Tab mute possibility during the char selection.
Thanks for your answers.

This sounds as if I could disable the voic-chat generally. Do I get this right? Because if yes, then I'd do that - but I haven't found this one yet. ^^

You are able to disable all of voice chat, for yourself included.
It's in the Audio Options: Always off/Push-to-Talk/Always On
With always off, you shouldnt hear any voip.

Hmm I tried turning it off, but it really only disables your own voice towards the others. It doesn't affect the sound of others towards you.
Actually a friend of mine also tried the off setting when I was in the same game and he immediately began talking, while it should have been disabled.
Looks like it's all still a bit buggy.
However there is also a slider for the volume of VOIP. If you turn this one down, you can't hear someone anymore 🙂
Or well... so it seems after playing 1 game :P
Edit: Nope neither of the options does anything.... the slider only turns the sound down a bit, but you can still clearly hear the others.
