[Updated 03/09] PC - GW/GW2 Not Working After Update

Apparently, people are able to bypass the anti-cheat by simply not updating their game and still joining multiplayer lobbies with cheating mods and such tools that allow them to have unfair advantages. Someone in the PvZ thread in the FPS channel on the EA discord also brought up something about using a Steam launch option so I am guessing there is also that as a way to bypass. Hope these can be roughed out and patched so we can enjoy the game cheater free finally. 

Yes. Apparently you can still join the game with pre EAAC GW2 client. Some people are using this trick to bypass the EAAC. 

Garden Warfare 1 launched fine too, so it seems to be the new anticheat.

I performed an update today, and subsequently have been unable to open the game (after having played it successfully for the last few days since owning it).  The opening screen comes up (in a smaller window), then the remainder of the screen flashes white a few times.  After that, I can hear the sounds of the game (chatter, etc), but it continues to 'hang'.  I've tried "repair" the game, I've tried re-installing, I've tried shutting down and restarting.  I've checked google for similar issues and all responses appear quite old.  Would greatly appreciate any guidance on this.

@Iron_Guard8 I experience the same problem since the update with AntiCheat. After reinstalling PvZ and the EA application, the problem persists. The solution I found to still be able to play the game is to start the file GW2.Main_Win64_Retail.exe which is in the installation folder. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any logs in the installation folder showing the problem.

I'll give that a try after work, thanks @xX_REVOLVER_Xx . Hopefully they find a solid fix for this.

After the new EA anti cheat update the game won't start.

At first it gave me an error, saying; EA AntiCheat Service encountered a system error. Please run the EAAntiCheat Service installer.

I had 2 options, Reinstall EAAntiCheat or Close I've tried the reinstall button and it gave me an new error saying; EAAntiCheat installation failed. Please reinstall game.

So I did. And the same problem happened again.

At that point I have looked at internet for problem solving. The solution I found was to use the EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe which can be found within the game folder [C:\Program Files\EA Games\Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2\__Installer\EAAntiCheat]. I've tried to repair it, delete it and update it. Deleting it loops me back to the same problem at first, update and repair does the same thing, which where I am sitting now;

I start the game, EA anti-cheat splash image comes, the bar on the bottom is all gray, I wait a solid 3 minutes (which is way longer than it should be), then it jumps to the end to about 95%, closes, opens the game, the "starting video" starts I skip it, wait 5 seconds while it is trying to connect, crash, back to EA app.

I do not use any anti-virus apps, other than the Windows anti-virus, of which I have turned off just to try and see it still not work. I have downloaded the game 3 times. Tried to open the game from other ways and as admin.

What are the possible solutions:
