She was the first plant I got to master, and yes she can be very good indeed. Only her health lets her down (kind of).
I had a suggestion on another thread regarding sunflowers. An alternative 'heal beam'. Basically instead of healing, it drains a victim of health, healing your own, whilst also reducing the damage of their primary weapon, and also adding to your own. No idea on numbers for the damage drain but if set just right as a percentage, rather than a number, it would negate the need for a 'shotgun variant' class. When the link is broken the health drain / heal stops, but the damage gained stays active for a couple of seconds. That would definately fit a vampire flower. Brain Drain?

Not bad at all. It would be nice for your Brain Drain to have more range than a heal beam, so that she doesn't have to get too close to Zombies which will make her avoid getting OHKO'd, but such a unique idea I like it. Fits with the Vampire theme as well.
@Zaheen1337 @ZenopoCheers guys, my ability idea is too hardcore for some it seems and they don't want to see their fav class get it's life drained away, but my bleed dot would be amazing to have. You may not win all your battles with a high HP Zombie or a Scientist, but boy will they feel the effects of that battle as they bleed out.
Keep the ideas coming guys.

Yeah, you know, just gave you the same props for that idea, but hey, Zaheen1337 must sit with the cool kids so pay no mind to anyone else at the other tables, amiright? - 10 years ago
@Zenopo Sorry about that I thought I had both of you tagged, but I'm also glad you liked the idea. All fixed up now.
This is nothing to do with popularity at all. You do know Zaheen isn't in the best of places with people right?
This thread is solely about buffing Vampire Sunflower and really any Sunflower since they all have difficulties with Zombies at close range. I think like Corn she should have higher health as her hit box is pretty big and like I said before is just a walking critical hit which doesn't help her cause.

Hooray :D!
It was a joke :P Hard to tell those on the internet. I did not know this and do not know why seeing as (I imagine) these forums are tight about any vulgar language or anything else you would normally find on other forums that would put you in not the best of places...results may vary.
I'm all for buffing the Sunflower (and Cactus). I was in favor of replacing her Sunbeam skill for a "mech" of sort. Sunbeam feels like a watered down version of Pea Gatling...Big Bolt Blaster, Cannon Rodeo and even Super Brainz ranged fire...

Nah man joke or not if you liked my idea I will give you props, so it was my bad.
Yeah the language on her is really strict it is kind of odd.
Sunbeam is really really good now, it's just that's all fine and dandy when you are defending the Garden. However you aren't really going to be pushing into the Graveyard when you are sitting in the ground.
That's why I'm throwing out ideas to give Sunflower and in this thread specifically Vampire Sunflower something more offensive with mobility so that she can use it if need be.
As for the mech, do you know their's a picture of a Sunflower mech type design in the Plants HQ?
So maybe pop cap considered her to have it at one time.
Still one thing that bugs me is that unless you are offensive in your play style you aren't rewarded. So even though you are supporting your team and not racking up high numbers you don't get recognised for it. In GW1 that wasn't the case,
