We need to talk about Chompers.
Who in balancing's good name thought Chomper's spikeweed should instantly snare any target?
In GW1, it was balanced, taking 2 seconds to arm itself before snaring an enemy and leaving them helple...

Yeah, sniping. That's exactly what Super Brainz, Engineers, Imps, All-Stars, and Scientists are supposed to do.
Especially Super Brainz and Scientists, who are supposed to get in their enemy's faces.
I never once insulted him and I even told him that people hating him wasn't the case. I just tested the spikeweed and it is not instant, it takes 1-1.5 seconds to arm. Also Chompers die a lot. I play Chompers 80% of my games and a good imp or super brains will just jump while you are burrowed. If you put down spike weed they literally jump (or double jump) away from you and just shoot you until you come to them. Sure I have goop and that works great but there are so many way to play around spike weed, I hope some of the scenarios I pointed out help.
Also as a chomper that plays a lot I save my spike weed for certain scenarios, engineers on their turret, pirages on cannon, or pirates on barrel. I burrow to them, jump out, lay spike weed. It grabs them off, then I goop and start biting or spraying.
- I only ever have problems facing Chompers ( notice it's in plural) if my teammates are garbage and don't use their abilities to deal with them properly. I can only take out so many on my own.
