Weakest character

Which class do you think, plants and zombies, is the weakest?

  • I agree with what most are saying about the plant supports plus Kernal Corn and chomper being to weak. Acorn (NOT OAK) is also extremely weak right now. I suppose I should start this by saying I am far from the master rank on all the plants, but I believe they should still be PLAYABLE in their not upgraded forms. 

    The chomper's burrow can quite literally just be out ran, its very uncomfortable at times where I will be directly under a running opponent, yet I still am unable to chomp them due to lag. He is also extra defenseless after eating for some reason? I don't know, I would have thought the eating animation itself would have been a long enough self induced stun.  Problem with the chomper is that he will always be annoying to fight and annoying to play. Not sure how to balance this out. Such a shame,  I'd love to actually be able to play him and have fun.

    I have said multiple times why I think the Sunflower is weak and completely outclassed by the scientist, so I won't bother complaining about it another time here, most people here have summed it up perfectly anyways. Same with the rose, pretty much what I would haves said has been said already in this thread.

    Kernal Corn is weak for... obvious reasons. Awkward aim and that horrible feeling when some enemy is sprinting away with a SLIVER of hp left that despite how many times you seem to hit them, never goes down. His butter ability is really sweet though, husk hop seems a little weird, like its damage seems to come a second or so AFTER it hits.. like the bullets explode onto the ground... it feels sort of delayed, but pretty sure that's intentional.

    Not sure if this technically counts as a character, but the garlic drone is pretty weak compared to the parrot. The parrot has such a better airstrike its laughable. Not sure why they just can't have the same airstrike, or I would suggest nerfing deadbeard's air strike. It is really unfair right now, drones also recharge way too fast for a no risk high reward ability in my opinion.

    Acorn is incredibly weak, 0 damage, very low hp, and has almost nothing going for him except speed. Oak is way too good and renders acorn useless. If they want to keep Oak not on a cooldown I believe they should buff acorn up, and increase Oak's tankiness, but nerf his damage output.  This way one form is a tiny dps glass cannon and the other is a relatively low damage tank. This would make it so there are reasons for you to play and switch between each form.

  • @brady3176 You're right about the parrot drone having a much more powerful airstrike & it's more difficult spot & take out the drones now because the game is so fast paced.
    I like your ideas on Acorn/Oak. I think it should play more like imp/mech which I've always found I can play best as imp for the majority of the match, just using the mech occasionally as a kind of last resort option to clear a big group out for the rest of the team to move in.

  • @newbebop I’m not gonna argue with that. *sips tea and laughs high pitched with monocle in his eye*. You even made a thread regarding NC not being OP same as me... while mine is now undersnowed on the 6th page :P you sir/madam are okay in my book :P
  • Plants:

    I agree with those saying Corn and Rose. Rose is 100% reliant on her team to do well, she can't go and secure kills like the rest of the cast she NEEDS at least one ally to do anything even half-decent. She is strong at the start of large fights, but her curse is restrictive on who it is effective and efficient fo cast it on, Goatifying can help reduce the damage your team takes but it is wonky and the Goats kind be really hard to hit without homing. Enigma is for escaping, using it for anything is dangerous/a waste because having it on CD is a death sentence for Rose. Though most of the time players, teammates and enemies alike, won't even notice you are dead. Her primary fire also feels bad without upgrades. She needs... something. I'm not sure what tbh, she is so reliant on her team to be effective and having knowledge of what she has and what it looks like, that she feels weak in every situation that they aren't working with her.

    Corn needs damage and/or more health. He does no damage at long range but melts if he gets in close range to do damage. 🤨

    I have been having a lot of success with Sunflower though. Maybe I am just facing less skilled players but I'm pretty good at being a nuisance that can get clutch heals, revives and kills when needed. I do run Vampire Flower though. Which, I know, is a crutch but I like the self-heal, sustains me enough to laser a few enemies to death.

    Zombies:

    All-Star feels... bad. I've never been a fan, at all, of All-Star but seeing him like this is too much even for me. He has 2 of the single worst abilities in the game. The punt is either glitched or they thought gutting everything about it was a good idea. His shield is... Its bad when the main tank on one team has a worse shield than a damage dealer and a Super Station that can not only have 1 powerful shield but, like, 3 stacked. On the other hand Citron's Shield is great. What do all three of these shields also have in common? No CD and they can take quite a bit of damage before breaking. All-Stars is the biggest shield, but it is feels WAY to weak to be something you want to group under and has an insanely long CD. On TOP of all this? The enemy team can enter it and use AoEs INSIDE. Night Cap LOVES seeing this shield especially if multiple Zombies want to take cover. GGEZ

    Imp needs something. Damage reduction while using Impkata maybe? I dunno, but it's squishy and has the longest CD in the game without any way to really escape or ensure it lives longer than 3 seconds.

    I have a few... questions about Electric Slide. I main her and, while I think she is fine, there are just some questions I have about her kit. Most notably her long CDs(why tho), her basic attack(Why can't I just hold to fire instead of mashing R2), her damage and her "electric stun" and "arcing electricity forcing enemies to scatter" things. Hmm. I might make a thread about this.

    Foot Soldier NEEDS the ammo clip upgrade at all times, otherwise, you are always reloading JUST before you kill something. Frustrating.

    maybe nerf the overheal amount or make it so it doesn't stack with the been vanquished multiple times so get more hp perk which i don't know if it actually does that

    @RockScorpion384 also you forget that the acorn is allowed to cancel his oak form as soon as he turns into it which tbh some bs making that form high reward but no risk because just eject at 5 hp run away heal back up to 75 hp and turn back into oak with 300 hp, cmon popcap wtf
