Unfair! Very unfair!

I've noticed many people want challenges for the weekly events to be easily achieved simply by working with your team, instead of straying off to do them, so that you don't or can't help your team. This week is a great example regarding the Crystal Dog challenges. Gotta agree with everyone here!

Unfortunately, this has already been a Weekly Challenge a while back. My question to you PopCap is why would you just hit the repeat challenge button instead of coming up with a new idea for us daily players? There’s so many good, simple ideas the community has offered up and not one is implemented?  It’s not that it’s a bad match but the final objective is very difficult thanks to the campers by the Crystal Dog spawn locations. Some players don’t even care about what’s going on (reviving teammates, shooting enemy players) and only focus on getting the Crystal Dog. Getting the dog isn’t that hard but getting 3 kills quickly, you need to be in the right place at the right time. I enjoyed this Weekly Challenge the first time around but I wish PopCap could come up with some new ideas to keep things fresh and exciting. Playing the same challenges is starting to get old.

I have to admit, after reading the other replies here, that I am also rather disappointed that the unique Weekly Challenges seemed to have run out so quickly and that they're largely unsatisfying.

In GW2 we had limited choices as well but because you got rewarded there win or lose simply by playing the game and you could collect as many Rainbow Stars as you wanted or could spend you could just have fun with it and enjoy a sense of progression.

Unfortunately because of the decision to time gate the total number of Rainbow Stars you can earn in a certain time period and the obscene number of them required to buy anything decent or desirable from Rux they are obviously not going to let you simply earn unlimited amounts simply by playing the event because that flies directly in the face of their FOMO monetization system.

It's only a matter of time before people get used to the idea that they aren't going to get Rainbow Stars from certain challenges and once that happens those people will lose the incentive to play the event, and with Turf Takeover an unbalanced mess right now and Ops a bunch of rinse-and-repeat sameness some people, myself included, will gradually just stop playing in favor of something else once there is nothing else to earn or obtain.

The many rounds I've played have been too imbalanced to win. When I finally did win a match, it was by being a scientist and healing everyone nonstop THE ENTIRE TIME XD. Because of this, I have never really had a chance to get the crystal dog and when I did, I was not a very damage dealing character (Scientist has the one form of attack) and my allies wiped out any enemies I tried fighting. Perhaps I'll try some of what you guys suggested, and I'll report my success later on!
