Weekly event
Can we do away with the whole ‘weekly challanges only completable in weekly event’ trash already. Every weekly event is actually AIDS. Theres a reason why none of these modes are permanent because no...
@RockScorpion384Yes, I know what you mean.
I loved the GW2 option to convert the stars from the quest board to rainbow stars for the chests.
There, I've always looked at the event calendar in advance & if there's one I don't fancy doing, made sure I've got the max rainbow stars I can carry in the previous event, built up 200 quest stars ready to convert & with a little extra push in the quests, can still get all the chests without having to do much or any of the event itself.
I prefer that system!
@TLEsquire It SOUNDS doable - providing you don't get quiet lobbies or team-swapping . . . 🤞
Taunting and public statistics evoke the same self-centered play styles.... it’s like the challenges coupled with emotes/taunts, and stats are just begging for individual gaming. Why hasn’t someone realized these challenges (AND STATS) could be tweaked to ENCOURAGE fun and fair-minded team play?
As @RockScorpion384 stated, “Win 5 matches = 10 stars” doesn’t sound fancy but it would be better than collecting orbs in Vanquish Confirmed because tons of people dislike the mode and as @TLEsquire mentioned, scouring around the map in attempt to gather orbs doesn’t exemplify team spirit. As result, most people play the community portal until they accomplish their goal and leave (never to return) or they fail to complete their goal and turn the game off out of frustration.
I don't mind Rando Confirmed.
I know some people want to play their favorite characters but I like that Rando Confirmed just saddles you with something. With Rando I don't feel a large amount of pressure to perform since my character is no longer my choice and instead I just try to play the role assigned to me and some of my best performances happened when playing a character which I probably would not have chosen for a round of Vanquish Confirmed.
Collecting the 10 Orbs in one round was a bit of a chore since you sort of have to play more aggressively and take more risks but, by chance or not, I finished it on both my account and my son's account when I wasn't really trying to play differently to accomplish it. Once I stopped trying and started just playing with the attitude that I would get it when I got it I wound up attached to a pretty good team and received my pittance of Rainbow Stars within three games. Luckily Orbs from both your team and the other team count.
Now that I've finished it I'm not likely to go back to it without a specific PvP quest which I'm trying to do- since Turf Takeover is in the state it's in I will be more likely to do those PvP quests in Rando instead.
