Good, after all, what’s the point of creating a Weekly Event with a significant twist - when there is no twist at all? 😇
When we saw that we needed to deal a whooping 20,000 damage for the last challenge - my brother didn’t want to complete it with me (especially knowing that the double damage buff is currently broken). Now I should be able to convince him otherwise ... 🙂 !
As a side note, I will attach my weekly challenge tips here within about 24 hours.
- 5 years ago@TheSprinter85 Well, the good side is AT LEAST people are playing the Vanquish Confirmed gamemode, cuz I can't remember the last time I played mixed mode.
- 5 years ago@TheSprinter85 I completed the 20000 damage last night in 2 hours...it doesn't take long.
- 5 years ago@Gormey What character did you use to complete the last challenge? I'm not sure which one is best at dealing the most damage. I'm fairly good at the game, so whatever you throw at me will be possible. I need help since I don't have a lot of time & want that Nightcap bundle.
- 5 years ago@Fork_x_Spoon Use SuperBrainz and Chomper because they deal more damage than most of the characters.
- 5 years ago@Gormey Well u can stomach 2 straight hours of BFN in the night.
- 5 years ago@Fork_x_Spoon I play random.

My weekly challenge tips for the "Weekly Event - Double Trouble!" are as follows:
1. Win a Match. Joining during the middle of a match may give you an easy win. Just complete the game and increase your chances of winning as much as you can, to make sure you get it. As this is a Vanquish Confirmed! mode (just with a twist, if it gets properly implemented), you want to try to claim as many orbs as possible, and deny as many orbs as you can. For this reason, teamwork is really useful. By staying near your team, you can deny your team's orbs much more easily and power through your enemies and collect their orbs (if that makes any sense anyway). Just like Normal Team Vanquish, even though the rules are a bit different, vanquishes, healing and assists are really useful as always, keep those in mind when you're trying to win. Try to also pick a character you are good with, or a character that your team does not have many or any of, such as healers or shield characters, for instance. If you can do as much of this as possible, your chances of winning are improved.
2. Get 15 Vanquishes. Shared vanquishes count, but assists do not. These do not have to be earned in one game. A quick note is you should try to complete this challenge quickly because the next one could take some assiduous time and grinding, so work hard on getting this done. Attack characters are useful because they are designed to deal extra damage and easily get vanquishes. As normal, try to stick with allies when you can as they can help you gain vanquishes (shared or direct) more easily and you are less likely to get vanquished, or if you do, may get revived and can continue fighting. Make sure to make good use of abilities and attacks that deal lots of damage, you are much more likely to get vanquishes if you do so. The other thing to note is when there are grouped enemies - area of effect and denial attacks and abilities are really useful here, so take advantage of enemies when they group. If you feel you are about to be vanquished, use your abilities quickly in the hope you get vanquishes or do not get vanquished. Remember, this event is (supposed) to give everyone double damage so if it is fixed, this challenge should be a breeze to complete!
3. Deal 20,000 Damage. Just as a note, this does not have to be completed in one match, but this challenge can take tons of time. It's not hard, as per say, but rather really time-consuming. For this challenge tip I'm giving, I'm assuming that every character deals double damage (and that the developers fix the no double damage bug). If this doesn't get fixed, this challenge is still completely achievable, but it will take about twice as long to complete. Attack characters are useful because they are designed to deal a lot of damage, the same goes for most of their abilities. Make sure of grouped enemies, abilites that are really effective in groups are great because you can deal damage to multiple enemies at once. Examples include Explosive Escape, Disco Tornado, Grody Goop, Chilli Bean Bomb and so on, by damaging multiple enemies with these sorts of abilites, you can deal massive damage with it. If you see a random enemy, whether they are alone or with their team, deal as much damage as you can to those enemies. The main key to this challenge is patience. If you have that, you can achieve this challenge easily - the great thing about this challenge is that teamwork is still encouraged, and you have no extra things you need to deal with (example: contesting with your own team and your enemies' team to open the Boss Chest).
Hope these tips help!
- 5 years ago@TheSprinter85 One thing to note; if you Burrow with Chomper, the victim's remaining health will go toward your goal. In fact, Chomper is generally good for the last challenge. Grody Goop & its infectious nature, Spikeweed removing 75 HP to whom it snares, & the general Chomp / Slobber Shot gives quite a punch, around 40 damage per attack.
