What a depressing birthday...

One year old, already dead, imagine that. All the care put into it wasted by greed and poor decisions. I wasted $30 on a product only for it to lose its value to me in a year. A free game can last longer than this, so why can't BfN?

This was never on us. We didn't stray people away from the game. Electronic Arts and PopCap Games are the only perpetrators here. They're bad design choices led to its demise and milked the life outta it. All that remains are ignorant players who don't realize that the murder had been committed. I can't believe after asking such simple demands nine months in cannot be satisfied. Add in the truth that they stripped away its personality with elusive money-hungry tactics make for an abomination I've never seen. It's appalling that so much love has come from us and anger and neutral feedback yet inaction until a great excuse has come upon them.

I wasted money on this. I wasted time to solve this conflict. I wasted my optimism for greed. And if you think the game is possible to be saved, don't bother. After playing one match I've felt horrible; lag, bugs, controls, bots, balance, and other issues continue to plague this game 365 days into the market. So please, I beg of you not to even try and save this game. It's better to get the best after this than make all these petitions for nothing. Because in the end, it's all just a game. And it's all just business. To EA, we're nothing but ignorant consumers that have fallen victim to their tricks for bucks. In conclusion, I've realized that there is nothing you can do to save this game. And it's better to doubt that than to dig for nonexistent hope.

  • Here's the thing: if you ask yourself "would I recommend this game to my friends" it'd probably be no since they wouldn't play for as long and there isn't enough good content to keep interest. I've never told my friends to play BfN because it'd just embarrass me that I play a waste of $40. Have you?

@CharlesHlcBendelYes it is and there are dozens of custom servers and meet the team videos on YouTube to help you understand the game better, just watch out for the bot snipers (usually walk looking up, play all stock, wear every f2p hat, and are named mygot or bigsmoke and spam mics so just turn them off) which appear like every 7th game or so yet if your team has over 2 collective braincells they will recognize the bot names and votekick them instantly and valve has taken stronger meausures against them lately, though I'm not sure if they reinstalled f2p chat as the bots would spam it, though I havent played in like 2 months so it could have stopped. (heck most people just drop everything and spawncamp a bot to oblivion lol).

Yet in spite of all the challenges it may face in the future there is a reason this game survived for over a decade and still has a pretty big player base.

  • Honestly if someone with zero experience in game design comes and makes a shooter, it would be more balanced than this game. PopCap has made 2 shooter already! I mean, 1 & half because GW2 was essentially the first one with more content. How did this happen? I have no idea.

If another PvZ shooter got made, I would want it to combine the best features of GW2 and BFN. BFN definitely had some good features, but overall EA was not satisfied enough with it.

  • @Fork_x_Spoon Hey I feel you man, I spent a lot of irl money on cosmetics. Was hoping they'd balance everything out so I might play again at some point. It's depressing to hear that they have the exact opposite in mind ☹️
