what is the max level of characters
i don't know the max level of characters but when i reach level 10 the xp bar gets filled and doesn't go any where

You need to promote that character you reached level 10 with and you do so inside the big tree house for plants and the mansion for zombies. To be honest i don't know why it doesn't auto promote the characters since there's really no reason to not want your character to be promoted
You get a character to level 10... then promote them... they become a level 1 specialist.
When you get level 10 specialist, you can promote and get level 1 advanced.
Level 10 advanced can be promoted to level 1 elite.
Level 10 elite can be promoted to level 1 super elite.
Level 10 super elite can be promoted to master... that is it. You cant level up a master.
Try doing that for every character ...haha
