What is your list of powerful heroes?

What is your personal top 20 list of heroes?  Or top 10, you can make it as long as you want it to be.  You can also provide a reason for why your hero is in that spot on your list, too.

Here is mine, only including heroes I have:

13. Chompzilla (I love Chompzilla, but her classes don't mix too well for me)

12. Rustbolt

11. Electric Boogaloo

10. Solar Flare (Same reason as Chompzilla, although she does make a great Control deck)

9. Neptuna (Frenzy and Deadly, man)

8. Professor Brainstorm (Aggro lord)

7. Spudow (Try a Nut/Berry deck, or a Mushroom deck)

6. Captain Combustible (Aggro lord but for plants)

5. Super Brainz (Deadly and Anti-Hero bonus attacks)

4. Green Shadow (Bean decks)

3. Impfinity (Another Aggro lord)

2. The Smash (Control lord)

1. Grass Knuckles (Aggro, Tempo, OR Combo lord)

  • I asked for a list of heroes, not just one, but that's OK 🙂  I did say "as many as you want to list" anyway, didn't I?

Well, most of the time, the best/favorite and why is the most important. But i will at least give my opinion of the strongest on both sides and why.

    For the zombies: Professor Brainstorm.

Right now the Prof/Valk deck is real. Valkyrie, Teleporter, Lurch for Lunch are the engine of this deck, but the way the rest of the deck feeds into the power combo is the definition of synergy, and almost a guaranteed win. This deck is a well oiled machine.

Cell Phone Zombie, Kite Flyer, Regifting Zombie, Trick or Treater, Fun-dead Raiser, Telepathy and Eureka all provide for massive card draw. Disco Zombie and Brain Vender assure you can keep feeding your opponent weak zombies to kill. Barrel of Deadbeards and Fireworks Zombie all make sure that if your opponent can't kill them, you can. It's great against almost all decks, but it destroys control decks. They feed directly into what these players want.

    For the plants: Captain Combustible.

I'm just going to show my deck. The synergy is on another level. Bananasaurus is as dangerous as ever, but CC takes Re-peat Moss to levels no other hero can. It can trash you completely in turn six. Every hero power is decent with it, 3 are legendary with it.

There just really aren't any plants you should feel comfortable letting sit a round, they're all urgent.

I legit play with all 20 heroes on a regular basis. There are only 2-3 that I like less than others for various reasons.

My best deck would be control-Immorticia I'd say. But others are also very potent.

I also have a soft spot for Freeze-Rose.

  • I have all heroes apart of three (all bought for 750 gems when they are for sale, non in packs - bad luck) and for me is quite clear.

1): brain freeze - extremely easy to win with pets deck, most times by turn 4-5

2): Grass Knuckles - bulls eye deck

For me they are the best because they are easy to play, they don't need any legendary (so they are accessible to anyone) and they don't rely much in luck/good draws.

    Then

    3) Super Brainz

    4) Inmorticia

    5) Captain Combustible

Most people will pick Professor Brainstorm, but I don't like it as it relies only in two combos (Valkyrie/trickster + teleport/lure for lunch), it's for people that paid a lot and doesn't want a fair fight.

What makes you say that? I have played that hero with other very effective yet fun decks that are completely different and don't rely on those combos. Also, I played both version you mention and I didn't pay a lot. For you to say "doesn't want a fair fight" you imply that the decks are not fair? When will people stop blaming their shortcomings on apparently "unfair and OP cards" and just learn to play against it.

  • One Turn Kill Professor Brainstorm is pretty much an unstoppable force as of now when you choose to pay a lot, getting 4 copies of Valkyrie, Teleport, and Tricksters.

Since Valkyrie can get so unfairly huge thanks to cannon fodder AND be able to get teleported with a potential bonus attack to wreck any plant standing in the way, you're almost always guaranteed a loss if you let too much cannon fodder zombies die. Pay to win Brainstorm players have plenty of teleports and bonus attacks to ensure that Valkyrie always finishes the plant hero in a turn with more than 20 attacks after a few turns. Those kinds of decks are REALLY unfair.

You can't really play against that kind of combo unless you have a mass arsenal of Brainanas and Rescue Radishes. Building huge plants is also a no go since he has access to Rocket Science. Ignoring the cannon fodder might result in the Brainstorm playing an Orchestra Conductor Zombie or killing them himself with Fireworks Zombie/Barrel of Deadbeards and it just gets plain messy.

I appreciate Brainstorm players who use any deck other than these kinds of decks. Any other hero deck can be dealt with most of the time.

    My top hero list:

    1. Immorticia: I really like playing tricks and buffing zombies, and Immorticia offers the most tricks and dispensable zombies(Ghost Zombie, Brain Vendor) the plant hero wouldn't dream of killing, leading me to give a 3/3 buff to one of them during the trick phase. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE LET HIM LIVE.

    2. Chompzilla: I enjoy the buffs the Mega-Grow class offers to the Solar class, specifically Venus Flytrap and Strike-Through plants. The more sun I accumulate thanks to the flowers, the more I can dish out stronger plants and buffs. Also healing and Squashes because I make mistakes.

    3. Grass Knuckles: He has the capacity to buff Bulls-Eye plants AND protect already huge plants with some nuts, what's not to like? He has less potential for removing huge zombies, so he's a little lower than Chompzilla.

    4. Rose: Rose has a huge potential for freeze decks. Paired with flowers such as Power Flower and Briar Rose, Rose can maximize the potential of Snow Drop, using her superpowers and tricks to destroy any potential zombie threat.

    5. Rustbolt: He has quite a few debuffing tricks and protection against plants who go a little agressive. He also has a wide access to sports zombies, slightly more than the Smash, making him great with buffing the Mascot to ensure he lives and gives other sports zombies the boost they need.

    6. Citron: Citron has tons of amphibious creatures, but is slow to start up. It makes me feel good when I outnumber my opponent with lots of buffed amphibians with a Navy Bean.

  • Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.

I actually forgot about the Strikethrough and Venus Flytrap combos with Chompzilla.  This makes me want to put her higher (or lower, depending on how you look at it) on the list.
