What the heck
Since the last update I’m noticing vanquishes count after time runs out. It wasn’t like this before. This happening to youz guyz?
@asabaida For example: the last bomb has been set and was not defused in time. I have had a few rounds where I know I wasn’t vanquished the entire match. Yet as the animation occurs and the last bomb detonated, I will see another players name pop up as if I were vanquished. Like bob said, it’s common for pirate barrels or toxic characters to vanquish someone just by standing near someone well after the match has ended. However before it never registered as being vanquished, nor would the other players gamer tag pop up. Basically if you time it right you can throw a bean bomb right before the last gnome detonates and get a ton of free vanquishes because at that point everyone can’t move anymore. And those vanq’s actually count now as they did not before.
I haven't noticed this, and it may bear some experimentation. I might put the first example you gave down to lag. Have you successfully done what you mention with a bean bomb and registered the extra vanquishes? That would be more compelling evidence.
I think you could test this pretty easily by running a private game of turf on offense with no team mates and chilling at the spawn until the last minute before zipping in to drop a bean bomb as the timer goes off.
I have tested. I would provide video but PS4 is a lil different from what I’m used too. Lag was my first thought. But it has happened repeatedly with a good and bad connection. It is most consistent with gnome bomb. It’s not a big deal reall because the round is over. But there are some serious K/D divas out there that would exploit the c o n out of this.
Getting video clips from PS4 is torture. I still don't know how to do it properly from the share menu. I'm told that all game play is temporarily saved, so it's a matter of knowing how to go find it. Pruning it isn't that difficult. I recommend sending the result as a private youtube video. This is one of those things that xbox has been ~much~ more successful at implementing.
Update: Only occurs in Gnome bomb.
