Great write up and I agree with this, not everything but a lot of it.
I still can't believe Rose was released in such an OP state. Then I can't believe it's take so long to fix the issues with the zombies. I understand new content takes time so I'm very forgiving of that, but balance changes need to be done much faster.
I also agree this game has a lot of explosions and the new classes really shine, at least for the zombies. Rose and Citron need and are getting some buffs hopefully this month. But the new chaotic map designs have pushed classes like the cactus further into obscurity, chompers also suffers from this as well and popcap doesn't seem to have any idea what to do about those two classes. Cactus has nothing but defensive abilities (except the weak garlic drone) and chompers usually goes 1 for 1.
I still feel like this game is accessible and straight forward and the unlocking systems doesn't really bother me. I don't really know much about legendaries so I can't really comment on that either.
I do think the marketing is off and it bothers me how silent popcap stays when i comes to releasing simple things like balance updates. I don't understand the secrecy on things like that, they don't communicate very well with their community.

It's a good thing that they're trying to bring out more balance patches quicker in the future

A friendly reminder that no amount of hours played or coins spent entitles you to a legendary character. The game is working as intended.
