When I heard the news about the cancelled support, I virtually freaked out. Knowing that this could kill the franchise does not satisfy me, so I did overreact. However, I know there is a small chance of the game being saved, so until I know for sure it is not, I am staying pessimistic.
If GW3, BFN 2, another shooter PvZ game, or even another PvZ game (PvZ Heroes 2?) got released in the future, even if it took quite a long time, I would be satisfied knowing that the franchise would continue, I wouldn’t mind if the franchise got given to another company to work on for EA.
- @Multiwarfare Yeah, of course it's not the end of the world. BfN meant so much to me. The uncertainty of the future of the entire franchise is what makes me so nervous.
@benn1nat0r I know how you feel. Before I noticed the bad things, I really enjoyed the game played it every day. I miss that feeling because I know it will never return. 10 years since I played PVZ 1. 10 years later I actually want to cry
- @Multiwarfare I recently started playing the PC version after having played the PS4 version since Founder's Edition, so I got to experience wonderful charming feeling when playing the game for the first time again, before the sad announcement happened.
- @Multiwarfare I know it's not, and I think the franchise will continue to exist just much smaller. PopCap have broken their two legs and EA is trying to fix that by letting it die. I'm sure they're still making money but for BFN it's over.
