Why do we have the same All-Star with three different skins?

The diversity among All-Stars is seriously low. I know that a minigun doesn't have to many ways to be unique, but with the AAll-Star, their is a big lack of variety. Why do we have the same All-Star concept (high rate of fire, low damage per bullet) three times? We currently have the Hockey, Baseball and Golf-Star, which do basically the same. The problem is not their concept, as both the Wrestling and Rugby-Star share slow firing, high damage miniguns, but those four are basically the same. While the Rugby-Star has splash damage projectiles and the Wrestling Star is brutally effective in the hands of an accurate player, these threeAll-Stars are basically the same. They all share basically the same damage profile (7 or 6 to 3 points of damage) and have almost the same rate of fire, which leads to the same playstile for all these characters, which is super close range killing, In GW1, the Golf-Star was set appart by the lack of projectile drop-off, but in this game, almost every All-Star has infinte range. And could the Golf-Star please be made usefull over range, I feel like the Rugby, default and Wrestling-Star all vastly outclass him.

The problem isn't that the variants are unplayable as the stock is heavily overrated/the others are underrated, especially the Wrestling and Rugby Star, as the default only sounds like he's firing much faster (default fires7, Rugby and Wrestling fire 5 round per second) and the Golf-Star has insane DPS at close range because he fires with 20 rounds per second. But the Baseball-Star is almost the same and the Hockey-Star has the same concept, just with less DPS.

I which there was a updated DPS chart somewhere, the one I use date back from GW1. I could see maybe why baseball star, golf star and rugby star can be considered viable right now, But both hockey star and wresting star as clearly outclassed by Basic at almost everyway.

No, I disagree with the Wrestling Star. He's better at close and medium range if you can land all your shots, and the high damage can get you a shared vanquish or two over range. The main problem is that you need very good aim o hit all your shots because once you miss, your effective DPS (the amount of damage that you deal) suffers a lot more than what it would with the default All-Star. The best All-Star? Debatable. The hardest one to master? For sure. The worst one? Hell no. My favorite? Definitively.

  • I agree 100%, I always talked about this becuase i love using the All-star but was sad to see that most all-stars are all the same. The hockey star should be toxic considering the description and the green aura that comes out, Not sure what you can do to make golf and baseball star different but i'm sure we can come up with something becuase the difference between them at this moment is no fun. You can make the golf star completely long range character and add an effect to the baseball star like a slight knock back etc...wrestler needs a change so that the rugby can be left as he is, a chance to knock the opponent down with his shots similar to the engineer when he bumps in to you with jackhamer.
