Folk that already had Unicorn chomper received Twilight as a gift... so would have got it when logging in after the update in a pack I presume.

That explains it (which Asabaida also pointed out), as I haven’t got the UC, but I was able to max-rank over a year ago when it was a character during a community challenge. Here I fortunately just managed to “Master” it during those 5 days.
Midnight Chomper is difficult to play against and I could only barely hold my own when playing as an Arctic Trooper.
Should I choose to play it (which I doubt that I’ll be doing as I don’t like either playing Chompers or playing against them) it will be a massacre against the many newbies that are currently in the game.
Honestly, I think we'll hit the goal. But in case we didn't I think anyone who got their personal 400 vanquish goal met that needs the Twilight Chomper should get it. You did your part, so should get that reward.

I think we will too, and I also think that we will do it with a wide margin. As regards getting the Chomper, I do admit that even I don't like Chompers, just getting it is a fun challenge, and that in itself is worth going for.

@xIsraelHandsx Im not that keen on chompers either but I'm kinda looking forward to getting this one... and he will help me get to max rank (without the need to wait for UC in the portal)
I'm sad however that rather than use the bobblehead stand that is already there for Twilight, they have added another one... UC one will stay empty forever. It plays havoc with my OCD 😃😃😃
I guess its just too complicated for them to remove one for those who don't have UC.
@asabaida I didn’t realise that they have already set up the stand for the MC. I must see that.
As regards the UC, I shouldn’t worry too much about it as they will probably be handing it out in the same way they did it for the Hover Goat and Torchwood. Either that or via some Community Challenge. Particularly so when the MC is practically indistinguishable (with slight variations in ability and damage) from the UC.
I’ll eat my (virtual) hat if you haven’t got it before year end.
