Why no Mantle anymore?

PvZ GW2 doesn't support Mantle and even Multisample-Anti-Aliasing anymore. Why?

So PvZ GW1 has the advantage in graphics but GW2 is not able to do such things?

I didn't buy GW2 yet and use the Trial instead but with those disadvantages I'm sure I won't buy it until they come up with a Patch to support Mantle and Multisampe-Anti-Aliasing!

  • Mantle has been dead for over a year...

    It's DirectX12 & Vulkan now.

    I honestly don't see the need for MSAA in GW2 either. I don't see any aliasing on my 27" 1440p monitor with everything on ultra. (It could be that it's still in the game but just not a seperate option for it)

    Ok thanks, I did dig more into the topic but seems at the moment Vulkan is worse for some Developers like The Talos Principle has more than 20fps less than with DX11.

    Too early for it as Developers still seem to try to understand it ☹️

    And old Mantle Games seem just to get the support removed like when installing the latest AMD Driver for DOOM Mantle won't work with BF4, etc. anymore ☹️

    Let's see how it will be in the future then...
