Here's just a few issues
-electro brainz is sort of out of line. His ranged attack has too large of an arc radius. And the damage is a bit much.
-I'm a die hard scientist fan. It's one of my favorite classes. But I fear that certain variants of scientist will become troublesome without rose there to keep it in check. Particularly the chemist. He can 2 shot most plants and usually can kill 3-4 players before dying.
-Captain deadbeard. If you play multiplayer you probably know why this class needs some tweaking. Naturally to fight rose you pick whatever works, and captain works. I think he suffers from rose syndrome, in that he doesn't seem to have any real drawback, except maybe for some speed. It's not unusual to see 5-6 of them on a team at a time, mostly just sniping.
I feel like most players are so preoccupied with rose being absurd that a lot of these issues haven't become apparent. I doubt any other impactful balance changes are coming with the patch this week.
Yea, looking at the patch notes, it seems Zombies will once dominate the plants.
Not sure as to why they nerfed the Zen Cactus. Yes, it does a lot of damage, how ever, I saw it as a counter for the plethora of Super Brainz, All-Stars, and Captain Deadbeards spamming from afar with better accuracy than other Cacti. Lets not forget the netcode, I've had a few instances where my shots are not registered and by the time it reloads the target is either out of sight, or right infront of me. It takes me two shots to kill an IMP, it takes almost all your ammo to kill a Super Brainz. Captain Deadbeards can easily go behind cover as soon as they're hit because of how terrible their designs are where they can wall glitch shots, literally been shot at through walls by Super Brainz, Allstars, Foot Soldiers, Engineers, Scientists, Imps, and Captain Deadbeards (basically all zombies). Unlike most plants (except for the Rose) where you literally have to show almost your whole body before being able to shoot with out being obstructed by an object.
Honestly, the only real concern for me is that Electro Brainz is getting untouched. His beams a little overtuned, as a few people know - high RoF, ridiculous shock spread.
You'll probably see more Citrons/Corns/Peashooters since the Rose lost her "easymode" button. Meaning more offense for the plants overall.
You should also see more Cacti, but like any sniper battle, how that pans out depends on who can aim/use cover better. (Whether that be the Cactus or Deadbeard)

Deadbeard will win due to all the wall and head glitching that's going to happen.
Much harder to wall glitch with a plant due to the character models.
