Would you sell your soul?

So recently my back has gone out, and my internet connection is crap to say the least.  That being said, I’ve been playing a lot of private play.  And while on the meds prescribed to me for the pain I’ve been doing some thinking.

AI has aimbot obviously.  But there are a lot of things they can’t do.

-revive while being shot at

-use drones

-shoot someone in a stink cloud

-walk around spikeweeds

-use jackhammer or enigma for more than a couple seconds

-countless other things

The question is, would you give it all up to have that aim?  And you can’t pick and choose characters, you would have to keep it across the board.  No head glitching either, AI doesn’t do that.  Think about it, answer if you wish.  I’m not going anywhere...for a while.

  • Sorry to hear about your back! I have a friend whose back was so bad he was the first in our group to get a flatscreen monitor so he could make it to LAN parties (yeah, this is years ago now) so I know it can be a nightmare!

I play a lot of bot matches, mostly to get quests done for modes other than TT. The bots are weird for sure, jumping around as an Imp is almost pointless as they can hit you almost effortlessly and drones never last long for the same reason. They can also revive and defuse gnome bombs while submerged as a chomper, fire ZPGs or shuck shots as they are being revived, and despite lacking the tactical knowledge of most players, they aren't bad to play against and are much better than the bots in Paladins where they get stuck a lot.

You'll see soldiers fire their ZPGs at a plant with precision accuracy but that 5" wall in the way isn't taken into consideration and they'll hit it with that perfectly aligned shot! They also seem to think that spikeweeds are candy as they never avoid them! The AI is horrendous with Rose though, charging into melee and dying so fast that if all Rose players played like that, they'd still have 125 health or more!

I'd rather have my versatility over that aim to be honest. I'm not 100% sure what head glitching is. There are some odd behaviors with the 3rd person perspective and shooting at times I've noticed so I presume that's part of this?

A chomper burrow revive?...that’s just madness. I have seen many characters start an ability and cancel halfway immediately start a different ability.  Definitely some funny “what just happened” moments.

  • On the topic of existential philosophy I would have to say no. Assuming there is a point in time that you cease to exist (Let me know if you can think of any 'cause I can't), I would have to assume "Soul" to be synonymous with ongoing existence beyond physical life.

So no. 😕 I'd keep my spam shots lol

  • If I had to be brainless (such as walking into spikeweeds), I would not want perfect aim.  I would give up mobility for perfect aim... but only to check it out for a few games.  I imagine that once a person goes Godlike, the fun/challenge would no longer exist.

They also seem to have no cool downs on their abilities.  Burrow, swallow, repeat.  Bitey and Chompy are downright bastards.

@Iron_Guard8 Head glitching (or its vertical counterpart, wall glitching) is something I'm sure you're familiar with as it's ubiquitous.  It's when a player shoots through the edge of a wall or rooftop but you cannot see them to shoot back.  Extremely common with gatling, soldiers, and sun beam, but most characters can abuse it.

We have yet to say whether or not this hypothetical aim-bottedness is applied to other games as well?

Is this just PvZ? No cooldowns could open a lot of pathways to a whole load of games out there. A plethora of universes laden with cooldown ridden abilities that explode, look pretty or simply make you go "ooo"

... Nothing so much as what I've seen in actual nature. But to be able to make them happen by hand and have it look as though it were by nature, to you. :o *Pondering*
