Zombie turkey causes block meter to stop working

In an amazing display of luck, someone i was playing happened to play 4 of the Zombie turkeys(each person draws 2 cards) in rapid succession. This is the first time I realized you can only have a maximum of 10 cards. As he was playing the turkey card, we would each stop drawing cards because we were at our max. Following that, as he would continue to strike my hero, my block meter would fill but never reset.

See attached screenshot. Notice my block meter. It stayed locked at full position but the next 3 or 4 hits. My guess is this was to make up for the cards that were not drawn.

That is a mechanic of the game.

A player cannot block when they have the maximum of ten cards in their hand.
