I often get that feeling too that the Zombies are abit more powerful. I have a feeling that they have more characters with faster shots then the plants.
Like the Rose and the Peashooter. Their shots travel really slow. And also the Scientists compared to the Sunflower is alot more powerful and can kill someone easily.
THe Imp needs a look at. He is way to small and the thing he does when he freeze ppl are way better than the Rose. It also lifts ppl up in the air and makes them an easy target to hit and him really hard to hit instead. Also they have the mechs that are rally powerful.
But I would never play as a Zombie even though I have that feeling. I had a few tries to test them out, but no, they all feel really boring to me.
If you two really think that then you must not check the fourms often to see how much people usually complain about the plants being OP.
Regardless the balance is pretty fair to me and i don't see any major issues with either sides. All i can tell you is practice more with the plants because they are far from being underpowered and learn how to handle/counter zombies with the characters you use
