Screen door zombies with helmets - adds more difficulty and pressure to an easy to counter zombie. More mini games - alot of scrapped minigames like unsodded would be interesting. Maybe coffee bee...

Some of those ideas would direspect the dead. The Remaster really should add more content, but without changing original content (with some exceptions like widescreen and HD quality and a few others). Maybe some of those ideas could be in the new levels, minigames, and extra content that was not in the original game.
