Adding the Mini-games Exclusive to Other Versions. (and Last Stand puzzles)
So, since I logged into this website, I think I can give you some ideas, which could make the experience better, especially those who played versions other than GotY, that being adding all mini-games that could be excluded. I think I have ideas how they can work. I am not sure if they will be implemented, as I am unsure of how finished the game is. (I mean, it's releasing in 2 months, so the last thing I want is rushing.)
It's Raining Seeds (Excluded from console versions): I can see why It's Raining Seeds was excluded from the console versions, the console collection system would make the Mini-game easy. The point of this mini-game is that you don't have seed packets on your own, so you need to get seed packets that fall from the sky to survive, it's also a fog level too. I think my idea is to add a fake mouse for consoles, to not make it easy for them to collect the seed packets, but, once a seed packet is collected, the game system will return, but only for planting.
Heat Wave (DS and DSiware exclusive): The replacement of Big Trouble, Little Zombie on the DS and DSI versions of the game. I am unsure why they replaced it, but I know it's to make a mini-game for the built-in mic. The idea of the mini-game that it's a pool level with pre-planted peashooters, wall-nuts and lily pads, and you have to drag them around to save your brains, but thanks to the heatwave, some of the peashooters will get tired, and you'll need to use your voice to encourage them. Since I know most people might not have the luxury of having a mic, I think my idea is to include a button that encourages the peashooters, however there will be a cool down to prevent possible spam.
Homerun Derby (DS and DSiware exclusive): So, this is also made to make use of the DS touch screen, more specifically, the stylus. It's a special Day level where a special catapult zombie throws basketballs towards the player must strike with 30 home runs. There is also baseball zombies who are trying to reach your house, which you need to use the pre-picked plants to protect you. I think using mouse controls can work too, but unlike It's Raining Seeds, it has the ability to go fast. I am just hoping it could work.
BOMB All Together (DS and DSiware exclusive): This mini-game is funny, as it doesn't take advantage of anything, it's just a day conveyer level, consisting of wall-nuts and explosive plants. There isn't anything I'd change about it.
Air Raid (Exclusive to DS and DSiware): This is one of the few levels that is not a level at all, it's a whole mini-game. You are using a gatling pea in flower pot-plane, using stylus controls to move the pea around, whist fighting Zomboss in mid-air. You also can also get improvements like upgrading your gatling pea to a threepeater or getting a pumpkin shield. It's simple really, giving the pea console controls is easy.
Zombie Trap (DSiware exclusive): To once again take advantage of the styles, You are dragging a brain around the night, and luring zombies to a trap-point, where they will be caged and beaten up by ravens. You'll lose if all your brains are eaten. I think it can use console controls like Air Raid... I think that's it.
Buttered Popcorn (mobile exclusive): It's easy, it's a pool level, and you have the ability to butter zombies, and you have 4 pre-planted cob cannons you can use to take out the zombies. I don't think much changes are needed.
Last Stand (Puzzle version (mobile exclusive)): I wanted to include this, even if it isn't in the mini-games category, simply for other players, and people who want to migrate to a better version (From what I played and heard, the modern mobile version (originally known as Plants vs. Zombies FREE) is the worse way to play the original, for many reasons). Unlike its Mini-game counterpart, it's a part of the Puzzle mode, which has levels. These levels are much like the mini-game version, survive 5 wave with the ability to pre-plant your defenses and the inability to pick different plants (along with sun-producers, free plants, and Imitater), but unlike the mini-game, you have pre-picked plants, thus coming in the puzzle element, along with the fact this goes through all 'worlds' in-game. After beating this, you'll get an endless level, which is just the mini-game, Last Stand but with infinite waves. There's nothing I would change and I don't know why the devs made two Last Stands.
And that's all. I hope these are helpful, and I wish all of you all well.
